We're doing something a little different for this holiday "scavenger hunt". Join the DFSBA and Smiths Falls Heritage House Museum, downtown, on Saturday November 30 for the Cookie Crawl!
What is the Cookie Crawl?
Cookie “crawlers” will pick up a box and map at the Town Hall Welcome Centre on Saturday, November 30. The map will lead you through the downtown to participating businesses, with you collecting delicious cookies on the way. You’ll collect a dozen cookies, additional holiday treats and warm beverages along the way!
Once you’ve finished collecting your cookies, head back to Town Hall for the Celebration of Lights, lighting and to collect a final cookie.
Registration for the crawl is $15 (plus tax) per box. Available boxes are limited.

The Town Hall Art Gallery is featuring local artist Dirk Mietzker's works until the end of December. The Gallery will be a part of Lanark County's Art & Heritage Tour. Plan your trip today at smithsfalls.ca/visit and find more info at lanarkcounty.ca/arttour

Artist Bio:
Dirk grew up in Ottawa and showed an interest in art and design from an early age, which led him to study industrial design at Carleton University. He creates figurative works in charcoal as part of the artist group Go Figure, and acrylic paintings influenced by his career as a designer.

His work has been presented in both local and international art galleries. He is a regular at art festivals in Ottawa, and was deemed a jury favourite for his art piece “Suspended Between Space & Time.” His artwork was exhibited in a solo show in 2017. Dirk’s artwork is part of many private collections across Canada and the United States as well as in Australia and Sweden.

Dirk lives and works in his Eastern Ontario studio, finding inspiration from his walks along the Rideau River. He is represented by Studio 87 in Perth, Ontario.

The DSFBA, the Smiths Falls Heritage House Museum and Visit Smiths Falls bring you some chilling ghost stories, right here in Downtown Smiths Falls!

Guides will lead you through the streets of Downtown Smiths Falls at night, regaling you with local myths, legends and stories that will keep you up all night.

Tours will be held on Wednesday, October 9th and Thursday, October 10th with 3 time slots each evening. Tour goers will have the option of purchasing tickets for just the tour ($10 per person) or purchasing a ticket for dinner & a tour ($40 per person). Dinner will be held at The Lockmaster's Taphouse.
