2024! Wow, where has the time gone?? … Well mainly trolling for salmon, anchoring for halibut, and pulling pots for crab and shrimp in the Salish Sea with VIL’s Captains over the years!
This is our 10 year anniversary at Vancouver Island Lodge!!! Thank you to everyone who has supported this business over the years and helped get it started!
Big thanks to Captain’s Steve Arnett and Todd McIntyre running the boats and Chef Amanda and ‘Fuca Chris 🚲’ with the lodge the last few years!
VIL Experience’s Update and this years photo dump below!
Fishing Packages are available March til November but spots are selling fast for August and September which are our prime time for some of the best Chinook Fishing on the coast, among enjoying all of the amenities of the lodge!
January to March 31 - Winter Chinook Fishing, Crab and Sh*****ng.
April and May - We will have a boat or two ready for prawning and salmon fishing in Mill Bay - a 35 min drive from the lodge to experience one of the best fisheries for the family and friends to try there hand at pulling traps, shucking some prawn heads, and learning some great recipes for the fresh big prawns!
Sooke Fishing Charters from the lodge!
Halibut and Chinook Fishing will be available throughout March til July 31 for local charters.
We can fish and retain Chinook in Beecher Bay
If you would like to book a family or friends getaway and just want to do a quick fishing experience (or not) we are totally open for that January to July and November and December!
Relax in the Cedar Hot Tub and Sauna!!! Bike rides on the Gallooping Goose to the local breweries and Sooke Potholes!
