Good Day Everyone! It is -3 celcius. We have Guests at Raven's Nest this weekend.

Next weekend (last weekend for 2024 is still available). The Calendar is now open for the 2025 Season.

I wanted to share a video of the Bird Feeder at Front. Sometimes, we have up to 40 Chicadees at one time. They are my favorite! I find them so cute and joyful. 🙂

Good Morning Everyone! At Raven's Nest. There are 4 Ravens who fly and play over the property.

Most mornings, one of them, comes to get their morning treat. I think it is a "he" so I call him Junior. He sits patiently and waits for me to bring a treat.

Sometimes, he just sits for a couple of hours observing me.

Good Morning Everyone! How is your day going? Please share a story of an unexpected surprise that made you very happy!

Fall is in full swing here at Raven's Nest. The Pine Cherries have already lost all their leaves and the Maples, Poplars, Aspens and Tamaracks have beautiful colors.

Here is mine. A few years ago, I got up with the intention of picking wild blackberries to make jam. However, when I went to pick them, someone had already beat me to it. So I was a little disappointed. To my surprise a few hours later, a neighbor came over with a grocery bag full of blackberries to give me. I was so surprised, I couldn't believe it!

Remember, the Universe is always working in your favor! Sometimes, when things don't work out the way you want /expect, smile and be grateful because something else may be in the works for you!

Hello, Hope everyone had a great day today!

Welcome to all the new followers! Wow! Thank you for following us!

I promised that I would do updates so here is a video Eric took today. We are not video experts but you will get an idea about the outside of area of Raven's Nest better than the pictures.

It starts on the path near our home. For those who are concerned about their privacy since we also live here, you can see it is quite a distance from our Home. Guest staying with us have the back area to themselves during their stay.

Some pictures of the Fall Colors, Mushrooms and our garden.

Since the property used to be part of a large Christmas Tree Farm many years ago, the forest is mostly pine but it is slowly changing with Aspen, Maples, Oaks, Birch, Poplars and Pin Cherries.

Thank you to all the Guests who stayed with us this Summer. It has been a busy Summer.

The leaves have started to change and fall and the mushrooms are out.

We still have some weekdays available in September (1 night minimums) and October (2 night minimums).

I had a very peaceful and relaxing stay here. Donna and Eric were very kind and welcoming. The cabin itself is extremely well-maintained and super clean which was very important to me. The cabin has everything you would need, including shampoo/conditioner/body wash to use the glorious outdoor shower (a MUST!). There are many windows inside the cabin which is nice for ventilation and also to enjoy the scenery outside. There’s a lot to do in the area but it’s also great to just sit on the cabin porch or the area behind the cabin to enjoy the environment. Lots of squirrels, chipmunks, and birds on the property to watch and admire. There are also many motion-activated lights outside the cabin which was appreciated for night time. Donna was super responsive from the time of booking and throughout my stay. I highly recommend Donna’s place whether you’re looking for a peaceful time or to be in close proximity to many activities while staying in a beautiful cabin.
