Meet our 1st Mate, Tyler from Fogo Island, Newfoundland: an island off an island. This is Tyler's 4th Iceberg Quest season. His love & appreciation of the ocean is abundant. Working with crews in our downtown St. John's & outport Twillingate locations has enabled Tyler to broaden his career aspirations.

Tyler is an incredible crew leader with impeccable professionalism, refined finesse and a true knack for problem solving, undoubtedly aided by his innate intuition. These abilities are rock solid, greatly appreciated & respected by every Iceberg Quester, our team players and at the management level.

And boy can he sing! 🎶 Tyler can often be heard with microphone in hand belting out a fine, ole' Newfoundland tune at sea. Those of us who have the pleasure of sailing & knowing him personally are fully aware that Joe Batt's Arm Longliners is his all time favorite.

Tyler comes by his love of the sea naturally. He grew up with the Atlantic Ocean as his playground with his father earning his living on the sea. His ease and comfort onboard are surpassed only by his incredible attention to detail, safety and overall guest experience.
