A new 6 week hybrid Dancing For Birth Session is scheduled to run Tuesday evenings, November 5 - December 10/24. This is the final session until Spring 2025. Please let me know if you are interested in attending as the session will run only if there is enough registration. This childbirth education class focuses on physiological birth, supporting your birthing instincts and functional movement (dance) to facilitate birth, along with birthreadiness support. This couple's class discusses the physiological design of birth, (you are designed for this) and how to support a woman within this design. It’s fun, informative and empowering. This prenatal education series is focused on physiological birth, honouring how you are designed to birth and parent. If the word "dance" worries you, think of it as "functional supportive movement". My name is Leslie Switzer.⁣

The Loss Heart Initiative came to be through my experience of supporting people in times of transition and change in their lives through my work as a Birth Doula and Dancing for Birth™ Instructor. ⁣
⁣
Holding space for birthing women has been a humbling experience for me. Birth Stories are powerful, because women are powerful. And in those birth stories are also stories of loss: miscarriage, stillbirth, infertility, abortion, and loss through all ages. ⁣
⁣
This initiative is my “heart” work, providing handmade felt hearts as gifts of kindness and compassion to people experiencing loss. What first began as birth loss has now expanded to many places where people experience loss. ⁣
⁣
The holds space for loss. People can “Request a Heart”, Attend a “Make a Heart” Sewing Bee, Read about Life-Giving Loss Resources, Attend a Holding Space For Loss Retreat Day. ⁣
Creativity is a life giving strategy.⁣
⁣
If you are living with loss, the act of creating can take you beyond language, because sometimes there are no words for loss.⁣
⁣
