It's official. I am now a Retired Travel Agent. I do have a co-worker, fellow agent who has taken over my client list. I would like to get her permission first before posting her contact information on here. All of you who have current files have been notified by email which included contact information for your new agent.
I want to say a huge Thank you to ALL of you for supporting me over my years as a Travel Agent, it was great getting to know you and working for you all.
While the industry is on "pause" at this time due to Covid 19 , there will come a time, hopefully in the not-too-distant future when we will all feel confident that it's safe to resume travel. At that time, I do hope you will continue with a Nexion Canada agent as this company has proven to be a Top Notch Agency.

To all travellers. Make sure you check out the government website for Travel Advisories before travelling anywhere. Know what is required of YOU before you go. the site: travel.gc.ca
Also, when planning your vacation, it's always important to budget for and purchase Travel Insurance to protect you in case of unforeseen circumstances; It's ESPECIALLY important now to have that Insurance in place. Read the terms and conditions before you go. It's far better to have Insurance and not need it than the reverse of that statement!

Holiday Travel Advice
Holiday travel can be stressful. Here are a few tips:
Arrive at the airport early. The roads and parking areas will be congested.
Pack light. If possible, carry on your luggage. If you must check your luggage, make sure you have all your medications, important documents and a change of clothes in your carry-on just in case you experience a flight delay or your luggage gets lost.
Pack earplugs, airports and airplanes can be very noisy with all the crowds and it will help relax you.
Don’t get “hungry’. Be sure to pack some snacks or get some food before you board the plane.
Ship gifts or give gift cards. TSA suggests you ship wrapped gifts or wait until you reach your destination to wrap them, as they might have to unwrap them to inspect it.
Travel on off-peak days and times if possible.
Travel early in the day. Flight statistics show that flights leaving earlier in the day have a better on-time performance. And if your flight is cancelled, you will have more options of taking a flight later in the day.
Plan for the unexpected.
Reserve airport parking ahead of time to ensure a spot.
Charge all your devices before you leave.
Pack your patience and maintain a positive attitude.

KNOW THE RULES ABOUT WHERE YOU'RE TRAVELLING!!
"Canadians travelling to Cuba will be required to present proof of health insurance to enter the country.
To meet the requirement, travellers should have travel insurance that covers medical expenses, the Cuban government said.
"Upon arrival, travellers may be required to present an insurance policy, insurance certificate, or medical assistance card valid for the period of their stay in Cuba," Foreign Affairs says in its travel report for the country.
"Those who do not have proof of insurance coverage may be required to obtain health insurance from a Cuban insurance company when they arrive."
Provincial health insurance plans do not provide direct coverage for out-of-country emergency medical services.
Supplemental health insurance urged.
Provincial plans may cover only part of the costs and will not pay the bill up front as Cuba requires, Foreign Affairs noted.
"It is therefore recommended that travellers purchase supplemental health insurance," the department said.
Canadians visitors carrying only provincial government health insurance cards will have to pay Cuban hospitals, doctors or other providers in full at the time of treatment and then seek reimbursement from their provincial plans, which normally cover only a fraction of the charges.
Some private insurers also require the traveller to pay costs up front and be reimbursed later, Foreign Affairs noted.
All health insurance policies will be recognized except those issued by U.S. insurance companies, which cannot provide coverage in Cuba.
Provincial health plans also strongly urge residents to purchase supplemental travel insurance for any trips they make out of the country. Provincial plans also do not cover the cost of ground ambulance in Cuba or repatriation back to Canada on commercial airlines or air ambulance.
"People do need to have supplementary insurance, either purchasing coverage through their employer or employer benefit plan or on a credit card," Martha Turnbull, president of the Travel Health Insurance Association of Canada (THIA), said in an interview.
The association also encouraged Canadians to get a letter from their insurance company or employer stating they do have coverage.
Turnbull suggested Canadians also consider insuring their travel arrangements since getting home early from Cuba or cancelling a trip can be expensive."
