Silent Film Night, Romantic Comedies edition, is coming up on Friday, April 12th at 7pm. Two classics are on the list! First up is The Doll (Die Puppe), a German romantic fantasy comedy. In the film, the character Lancelot is pressured by his Baron uncle to marry. But Lancelot is afraid of women! He decides to fool his uncle by marrying a life-like mechanical doll instead.
The Scarecrow, circa 1920 will follow. The American two-reel silent film stars Buster Keaton who plays a farmhand who competes with his housemate to win the love of the farmer's daughter.
