As we begin to prep lunches, fold laundry & sort our selves for the week ahead, I am grateful for the memories these past ten weeks hold.

We explored some new places, visited old friends, slowed down & kept it simple.

We even embarked on a family marathon of Jurassic Park Camp Cretaceous in August & it was honestly one of our favourite two weeks of the summer… snuggling & snacking together until far past our bedtimes.

I sincerely hope you had a wonderful summer with loved ones, & if played a small part in your family making memories, I am grateful.

While our cool attic stairs can be a bit enticing for our wee guests who like to go up & down them constantly, the A is very family-friendly.

As the end of July draws near, & so does this extreme heat “snap”, I’m finding myself clearing my schedule so our family can slow down more & drink up the rest of the summer.

This dreamy loft is about to get more dreamy…

Selfishly, as we look ahead to spending some cozy nights in the A, I wanted more sleeping options for our family of five.

The bed in the loft is plenty big for two of our kiddos but that means someone gets left out…

Not anymore! Starting this weekend, the cabin will have one of those fabulous tri-fold 4” memory foam beds (twin size) for use.

Everyone is drowning. We are all fighting various fires, droughts, storms & devastation.

But we are growing, mourning, breaking & rebuilding.

When tides part & the winds stop, our roots will be deep & intertwined.

Between the cost of living, the recent cold snap & a frantic start to 2024, I am feeling very overwhelmed these days.

But, this too shall pass. & we will be stronger, on the other side.

Father’s Day brought the most wonderful gifts into our house this year.

Massive kudos to teachers & their inventive minds to help nurture the creation of such meaningful & special gestures for the “big guys” in our lives.

This morning Adam received an special ocean scene with a small bottle mounted on the front - enclosing a loving message from our daughter. He also received a perfect dad joke themed plaque.

Long & short… Happy Father’s Day to all you amazing dads & big love to all you amazing teachers & caregivers that help kiddos express their gratitude 🤍.

Memory-making days - we can’t wait to see you!!

Is anyone else so over this hustle and bustle? We are eagerly counting down the days until we are done school, done with packing up backpacks & lunch kits, & can enjoy some slow, easy mornings.

Messy hair, too much coffee, pjs for hours.

We are sneaking in some time in the A later this month & we just can’t wait.

Chaos be gone (well as much is possible with three kiddos).

Is there anything better than fresh spring mornings?

The day starts out cool, the middle is full of feeling the warm sun on your face and it ends with long, mild evenings on the deck or by the fire.

Well, it’s been a minute!

Life has been… well life with three kids & two hard working parents. Oh, & a crazy black lab 😆.

I wanted to say hey 👋🏻, check in with all of the amazing people in IG world who have either stayed, plan to stay, or dream of staying at our cozy little A-frame 🤍.

I’m so grateful for this cabin, the amazing people it’s brought into our lives & the most remarkable people who created this special place & continue to support this amazing cabin.

There’s something nostalgic about these angled walls.

I grew up in a turn of the century farmhouse that had odd nooks & crannies, stairs so steep you always used the handrail (except when going down in sleeping bags 🫣), & angled walls in my bedroom.

The combination of natural light & the comforting slopped walls takes me back to that room.

Comforted & safe. Closed in but endless space to daydream.

103 years of friendship.

I spent the past 96 hours with five of my dearest girlfriends, helping me ring in my 40th birthday down in Arizona.

I was so privileged to jet away & enjoy a ridiculous amount of stomach-aching laughter, feet-killing dancing & puffy-eye inducing late nights.

Life is so damn short. Stoke that fire. Jump on the bed.

This weekend I am basking in an overloaded “bucket”.

After a very successful work event (for ) this week (literally months of hard work poured into it) & a 40th birthday celebration (11 days early) I am feeling immensely grateful.

I hope each of you are taking a moment today to bask in your blessings & taking a moment to remember someone is thanking their lucky stars that they have you.

I am so thankful for this cozy A & the people it has brought into my life. In particular, & - I sincerely feel so blessed to have the friendship & passion that Juli & Tanner have for everything they do.
