This property has something for everyone! Make no mistake, the main attraction is the fantastic beach, which is a two minute walk from the cottage. At low tide, you can walk for kms on the sand while enjoying the beautiful views of the ocean and distant islands, or relax on a beach chair while soaking up the sun enjoying your favorite book. As the tide comes in, enjoy swimming in the warmest waters in the Maritimes! Other features include a large screened in porch, a beautiful place to relax and watch the sunrise or sunset in a bug-free and lighted environment. Enjoy a bike ride, walk, or quick drive to the Jost Vineyards, just 3kms away. This rental also includes 3 kayaks, outdoor games, and a fire pit. More local attractions include the Malagash Cidery (5.5kms), four great golf courses including Fox Harb’r Resort, Northumberland Links, Brule Point, and Wallace River all within a 30 minute drive, a number of walking and hiking trails, Blue Sea Beach Provincial Park (10kms), and the towns of Tatamagouche (17kms) and Pugwash (26kms) in either direction.
The cottage plus bunkhouse can sleep 8 comfortably. The cottage features two bedrooms with two queen beds, and large ceiling fans plus a pull-out sofa in the main living area with a double mattress. The main cottage has a heat pump to escape from those hot summer days and nights in an air conditioned environment as well as an outdoor shower to rinse off after the beach. The bathroom includes a tub/shower combination and has recently been renovated. The wifi is from Xplornet- strong rural provider. Guests have access to a washing machine and clothesline in the backyard. The bunkhouse includes two double bunk beds, a ceiling fan and screened patio door for an additional ocean breeze. A toddler bed, cot and playpen/crib are also available. Rentals run from Sunday to Sunday in the high season. Sorry, no pets.
The cottage is equipped with the following:
- Kitchen: All appliances and microwave, electric kettle, coffee maker, toaster, cutting boards and knives, wash and drying towels, dishes, bowls, baking materials, barbecue utensils, wine glasses, lobster pot, a variety of cookware and kitchen accessories, pots, frying pans, water cooler, heat pump (air conditioning and heat).
- Bedrooms: All bedding for the two queen beds and two double beds plus the sofa bed, Ceiling fans. Also available: playpen/travel crib, cot, toddler bed, high chair.
- Bathroom: Towels, toilet paper, and soap.
- Living room: Wifi, TV, DVD player, multiple board games, sofa bed (double size bed).
- Screen porch: Table and seating for 6, washing machine.
- Bunk house: Mini fridge, bunk beds (each level with double mattress), electric heater, ceiling fan.
- Exterior/Shed: 3 adult size kayaks and paddles, many lifejackets of various sizes, 2 adult bicycles, 2 youth bicycles, beach toys, propane barbeque and tank, fire pit and wood, outdoor shower, several chairs, clothesline.
