Oshino Hakkai in Yamanashi is a serene village renowned for its crystal-clear ponds, traditional thatched-roof houses, and spectacular views of Mt. Fuji. 🗻

The eight spring-fed ponds, sourced from Mt. Fuji’s melted snow, boast pristine waters and reflect the iconic peak beautifully on clear days. 🌊

At Oshino Hakkai, the water temperature rarely drops below freezing year-round, creating a magical winter phenomenon called hoarfrost. ❄️

On cold mornings, rising water vapour from the ponds evaporates, recondenses, and freezes upon touching plants in the chilly air, forming delicate, icy crystals. 🌿✨

Nikko’s Ryuzu Falls in Tochigi is a must-visit destination in autumn, offering a breathtaking view as it’s framed by vibrant red and gold maple leaves. 🍁

The waterfall's name, meaning "dragon's head," comes from its unique shape, where the water splits into two cascades. Although this photo captures only one of them, the rocky surface between the streams resembles a dragon's head emerging from the falls. 🐲

In addition to the main viewing deck, visitors can take a trail located on the east side of the falls, offering another perspective of this seasonal wonder. 🚶‍♂️📸
