As we start our last day in Jordan, the view from my hotel in Aqaba does not disappoint! Half a day with some closing sessions that include a speech from G Adventures founder, Bruce P**n Tip, followed by an afternoon of snorkeling in the Red Sea. I think it’s a pretty great way for wrap up the conference!

During our farewell night in Petra, we indulged in a captivating private evening at the renowned Treasury Monument. Delicate paper lanterns and a live performance by local musicians created a magical atmosphere that offered a unique perspective on this iconic marvel.

Our parent company, The Travel Agent Next Door, contributes to a charity called Pencils for Kids. This year, we are hoping to raise $60,000 to purchase a vehicle, insurance and fuel to provide transportation for students of an agricultural school in Niger. We have only had one full day of conference and we have already raised $40,000! 🎉 I’m privileged to be associated with such a generous group of people ❤️.

I’m heading off for a jam-packed week involving 227 travel advisors, 31 supplier brands (37 reps total), and 19 staff from our parent office! First, we will be whisked away on a chartered plane with Royal Jordanian Airlines and land in Amman, Jordan. Our week will include supplier presentations, business workshops, one-on-ones, and training seminars. We will spend a day at Petra and another day at Wadi Rum. The grand finale will be our gala event where our parent company celebrates 10 years in business!

Learning a little bit about the culture of a country before travelling is always a good idea.
One thing that I learned about Thailand is that they have a daily lucky color. The day of the week that you were born on indicates your personal lucky color. Looks like my lucky color is pink 🌸. What's yours??

I heard a lot of hype about how the best dessert in Thailand is the mango with sticky rice. I was sceptical 😆Well!! I stand corrected!! I don’t know if it’s the perfectly ripe mango, which is in season right now, or the freshly made coconut cream but this combination just works!! How will I survive without it when this trip is over??!! 😆.
