Legend is building on the significant gold discoveries it has made since it began exploring in Mali in 2002. (TSXV:LGN), previously North Atlantic Resources Ltd., has been exploring for gold in the Republic of Mali ("Mali"), West Africa since 2002 and presently has six gold exploration projects comprising over 730 square kilometres. Legend has made two significant gold discoveries in Mali through
aggressive regional exploration programs. Located in southern Mali, the Tiekoumala gold project is our most advanced discovery with a NI 43-101 compliant resource. calculation (2007) of 7,880,000 tonnes at a grade of 0.95 grams per tonne for 241,000 ounces of gold in the indicated mineral resource category and 10,550,000 tonnes at a grade of 1.05 grams gold per tonne for 353,000 ounces of gold in the inferred mineral resource category. Located in western Mali the Lakanfla project forms a key part of the Company's strategy to explore and expand its gold discoveries along strike of the 11 million ounce Sadiola Hill Mine ("Sadiola"). Lakanfla is contiguous to the southern boundary of the Sadiola Mine and is situated 10 kilometres southeast of the Sadiola Hill Mine main open pit. There are three gold occurrences within the Lankafla permit known as Zones 1, 2, and 3. Lankafla is located along the Sadiola mine trend which has produced more than 17 million ounce of gold from the Yatela and Sadiola Hill ore bodies and the Fe3 and Fe4 satellite pits. The Lakanfla, Tiekoumala, Mogoyafara, Diokeba, and newly acquired, Mougnina, properties make up our current mineral exploration permits in Mali.
