BIG NEWS!: City of Craft is taking an extended vacation!

This year we are taking a break from our regularly scheduled programming, but we'll be back and better than ever in 2019! We hope to take this time to reflect on our accomplishments over the last 12 years, and to develop exciting new opportunities for our craft community to flourish!

We know how much everyone looks forward to the show, and we are overwhelmed by the support and enthusiasm we receive year after year. We’re definitely going to miss you, but we are also pumped to see what the future will bring.

Enjoy the rest of the summer, and see ya next year!

Citizens! Our MADE FOR LOVE Pop-Up with the workroom is THIS Sunday! Don't forget to check out www.cityofcraft.com/madeforlove for our complete Artist listing. Browse the handmade wares of 16 local makers, get customized cards and prints at the Live Lettering Booth, have your portrait painted in watercolour, try your hand at letterpress for free at the Postcard Printing Station, and make free paper crafts with your little ones. Oh, and free snacks :)

EXCITING SWAG BAG UPDATE! We've partnered with close to 20 of the local, crafty destinations on our Toronto Craft Map to create an exclusive coupon book filled with deals and discounts just for you!!! Now you can support small, independent businesses and TREAT YO'SELF (and save a few bucks) all at once!

DETAILS: We will be including 100 City of Craft Coupon Books in our Saturday morning swag bag giveaway, and gifting them to our devoted and hard-working volunteers (remember when we said volunteering had perks? We weren't kidding!).

Coupons were designed and risograph printed by Shannon Gerard, based on illustrations by Ness Lee. They are almost too pretty to use! (But def use them tho).

Participating shops include: The Workroom, Bookhou, Aboveground Art Supplies, Scout, Likely General, BRIKA, The Paper Place, The Knit Cafe, Bastone & Co, Distil Gallery, TYPE Books, and soooo many more!

Citizens! We are FOUR days away from the 11th Annual City of Craft! Skip the long line-ups and crowds by taking advantage of chill, late night shopping this Friday from 6 to 10pm, and enter our opening night WIN YOUR WISH contest - a chance to win your favourite piece in the show! Ballots will be available at admission and at the City of Craft table.

Omg we made a CRAFT MAP! A beautifully designed, fold-out map featuring *some* of our favourite independent shops and small businesses that we hit up regularly for supplies, to take classes, and to buy handmade things by local artists.

The Toronto Craft Map was designed by Ian Phillips, who seamlessly incorporated some of Ness Lee's illustrations to make this fun and handy resource for makers and craft lovers all over the city. They will be included in our swag bag giveaway on Saturday morning, and are free with the purchase of any City of Craft print, tote, or button at the show (while supplies last). We hope it'll help you discover some new places to get your craft on all year long!

Here it is! The official, limited edition City of Craft 2017 tote, designed by Ness Lee! Sewn and hand-printed in Canada on heavy-duty natural cotton canvas. The first 100 people through the door on Saturday, December 9th get one for FREE (with some goodies tucked inside) and we'll have some for sale at the show. When you buy a tote, you help make City of Craft happen!

Our CRAFT LAB schedule has been announced! This year we are offering 7 FREE DIY and craft workshops all weekend long, in two locations! Craft Labs will take place at The Theatre Centre and across the street at Craft Ontario Shop. Spaces are limited, so be sure to book your spot.
