Another fun day exploring amazing sights of Jordan. Today we spent most of the day in Wadi Rum, traveling through in the desert in 4x4 trucks!!!

After an afternoon un thr desert we made our to Aqaba, a sea side on the Red Sea. There was some exploring and shopping for local spices. Ended the evening with a rooftop dinner at thr sea!!

After 3 days of seminars, and supplier info sessions and lots of learning, we left the dead sea for our next adventure; Petra!!

We arrived at our new hotel, The Old World Village. This charming hotel is part of an old village renovated and rooms refurbished.

We woke up early Friday morning to visit the breathtaking Petra. Petra was built as early the 5h century BC and is a UNESCO site and has also been names one of the seven wonders of the world!! G Adventure guides did such a great job guiding and educating us through our walk through the old city of Petra.

After landing in Jordan, G Adventures were ready with their buses to collect us and take us to our hotel.

After arriving at the beautiful Crowne Plaza Jordan we had some free spend at its massive pool and the magnificent dead sea for a float and mud scrub!! Our skin was glowing and so soft after.

That evening we were hosted by Royal Jordanian Airlines for a besutiful white party!! The sunset that was out background for the cocktail party was breathtaking!!

After day one I am awestruck at the beauty of Jordan but more importantly the beauty of the people!! The hospitality that we have received has been so welcoming, and first class from the moment we arrived!!

After over 24 hours of travel from Thunder Bay to Toronto, then Toronto to Amman Jordan, on our private chartered flight with Royal Joranian Airlines, we finally arrived in Jordan!!

A big thank you to Royal Jordanian Airlines for treating us all to first class service (even us that didn't travel first class), with some much appreciated details like warm scented washcloths, a beautiful amenities travel pack, to amazing service from the staff and flight attendants. They made a 12 hour journey so much more enjoyable.

In less than 24 hours I am on my way to Jordan for once in alifetime opportunity!!

Where do I go every summer...everyone who knows me, know I spend my summers in Italy!! But more specifically I spend most of the summer in the region of Calabria!!

Calabria to me is probably one of the most beautiful places in thr world, and in Italy. To most people Calabria is still a hidden gem. It's not one the popular destinations in Italy to visit.

On a map Calabria is the bottom of the boot, closest to Sicily. It is the "true" South. If you look up tours Italy and want something in the south it will probably bring up the Amalfi Coast, which is usually considered the "south"

Calabria has charming villages on the coast, skiing towns in the south and quaint vineyards and the most beautiful beaches!!

In 2022 Calabria was voted one of thr worlds greatest places to visit!! I cant believe it took so long to make th list!

Calabria is thr perfect vacation spot to set yourself up by the sea or in the hills and really experience an authentic southern Italian experience. Within an hour drive you can be sitting on thr beach, or sipping an aperitivo in a quaint hilltop village. It is the perfect location for "slow" travel (a new tik tok term I have learned about and love). It is the art of not rushing around travelling and really taking in the sights, the culture and the people. Really immersing yourself in your destination.
