What exactly are the main advantages of using virtual learning to keep kids engaged with dance and the arts? Let’s examine...
PHYSICAL FITNESS
Kids need to stay active, and lockdowns curb this natural inclination, causing great harm. It’s important for kids to exercise and stay mobile at all times, for the sake of their physical and mental well-being. Virtual classes offer kids the opportunity to stay fit, while simultaneously perfecting their technique, skills, musicality and confidence. These are as beneficial for emotional health as they are for physical health.
WORK ETHIC
Kids who stick with virtual classes have proven that they’re ready to go the distance to pursue their passion, and better their craft. This helps nurture a strong work ethic that they can take with them into their adult lives. Studies have shown that routine, discipline and work ethic pay limitless dividends in the happiness department, and they can help forge character and build self-reliance via confidence.
ROUTINE AND STRUCTURE
Current parenting resources show that kids are happiest when they have routine and structure in their lives. A balanced and structured lifestyle gives children a sense of security. Robbing them of these things can create discord, depression, destructive habits and bad grades. Virtual classes demand the same attention to routine and structure as in-person classes do. They give children a reason to stay disciplined, as well as something to look forward to.
DANCE & MUSIC BRINGS JOY
This one is obvious! All children enjoy dance and music, and it’s usually one of the most profound methods they have to self-express. Music can lighten even the darkest mood, while dancing gets kids moving and maintaining their energy. This boosts natural endorphins and makes for happier, more positive kids.
