Happy Flightie Friday! Today, one of our Group Travel Specialists, Sarah, is sharing her Costa Rican family vacation. They travelled to three different parts of the country — immersing themselves in the culture, having as many adventures as possible and seeing all the animals!

🇨🇷 What were the highlights of your trip?
A highlight of the trip was going to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve to do the hanging bridges. We did a night tour in Monteverde, where we saw tarantulas, toucans, monkeys and scorpions! Going to La Fortuna and the Tabacon Hot Springs was incredible. We also did river tubing in that area and visited a nature reserve.

🇨🇷 If you were to go back to Costa Rica, what else would you do?
If I went back to Costa Rica (which I know I will), I will make sure to see other locations in the country — maybe try Manuel Antonio or some areas on the Atlantic side.

🇨🇷 Any tips for first-time travellers to this destination?
If going to Costa Rica, I suggest leaving your all-inclusive resort and the beach. While some downtime at the resort is amazing (and much needed for us), the most memories I have are of travelling with my family to other areas to see animals, hot springs and waterfalls. I suggest staying more than seven nights so you can get a mix of the all-inclusive vacation as well as some adventure.
