Wooow, what a ride 🚀🇨🇦 Since 2020, we’ve been with this family through every immigration milestone: from getting 200 points for LMIA, Work Permits, Study Permits, TRVs, actually — and all the stress that comes with it.
A lot of people think immigration consultants’ work is just about “filling out forms.” It’s not. It’s about keeping your head up through refusals, extensions, ticking timelines, the COVID era, and all immigration changes.
A-and, let’s support with ❤️ [tap-tap] our clients who journeyed from being foreign workers to achieving PR status 🇮🇳🇨🇦🎉 Here are some brief case details:

🇨🇦 Google searches for “How to move to Canada” skyrocketed as election results... Did you google ‘Move to Canada’? 👀
In case you missed it, here’s a quick update on the past 10 months: the government claims to have “listened to Canadians” and is now reducing immigration quotas with enthusiasm 👀
In this post let’s break down what that means for permanent residency targets in the coming 3 years:
[2025] 395,000 — this is a decrease from the 485,000 target for 2024 and the earlier goal of 500,000 set for the 2024-2026 period.
[2026] 380,000 — again, down from the original 500,000 target in the 2024-2026 plan.
[2027] 365,000.
While these numbers might seem daunting, it’s important to note that the government is actually shifting its focus. Even though overall immigration numbers are decreasing, the emphasis on economic immigration is increasing.
🚀 What’s even more significant? Over 40% of these economic immigrants are expected to come from temporary residents already living in Canada.
Comment from Senior Immigration Consultant and CEO at WooW Canada Kateryna Kuzhel 💬
“Please note that this does not necessarily mean your PR application will be affected. However, it does indicate that competition among candidates is likely to increase. Focusing on enhancing your qualifications and ensuring you remain highly competitive is crucial. This includes maintaining official employment in Canada, improving language proficiency, and other paramount areas that strengthen your profile
[Plan B] Think outside the box—your individual story and credentials matter. For couples, pursuing multiple PR strategies at once can increase your chances.”

Did you know? Visitors can continue to apply for work permits inside Canada thanks to a special temporary policy. Yep, this arrangement that started during the COVID days has been given a bit more time, all the way until February 28, 2025.
So, what’s the big deal, you ask? Prior to this temporary policy change, visitors could not apply for work permits from inside Canada. There are many exceptions and immigration regulations that may apply to your friend but not to you.

Let's finalize the March Month with another talented client, Mariya Stakhura who started her own pastry business after a long and challenging immigration pathway – from Visitor Visa to PR ➝ enjoy reading, and we hope you will gain some insights.
Did you know that only 17% of Canadian small and medium-sized businesses are owned by women but no woman should sit back and think that because someone is an immigrant, one is completely powerless
March is Women’s History Month—stories from books prove that women can do anything, so we decided to talk to our CEO and four (4) of our clients and ask about their business motivations and the wisdom they’d impart from their experiences. They are all different but united by the courage to go against fears and biases. The plan for this year is to be brave and confident and not be shy about asking for advice.
Empower your passion and skills.
