Here's the only Hard Rock Cafe we're ever likely to send you to! At the excellent hands of our guide Franco, lunch was set up for us in the shade of these magnificent boulders. After a morning of interpreting petroglyphs and watching desert-adapted elephants, this was the Ultimate touch to send us into a quiet afternoon. An unforgettable day. 🧡🇳🇦

Here's what social media looked like 8000 years ago. These petroglyphs at Twyfelfontaine are a remarkable display of how the ancient Khoikhoi and San people shared their hunting reports and all they had seen in theor travels... effectively theor version of posting status updates fpr those who followed them. Literally! There are even depictions of seals and penguin, proving how far some of them had come. Incredible sight.

The iconic photo of Death Vlei is unavoidable, but cannot come close to capturing its beauty. Even when you are actually standing there, the scale is beyond comprehension. This was an unforgettable day spent amidst these jaw-dropping dunes, and then returning to the comforts of Camp Sossus. The magnificence of it all can barely be believed, even once seen. 🧡🇳🇦

We've have several wonderful travellers in India in recent months, and a few families who chose to ditch the scent of pine bows for the spiced humidity of the subcontinent. It's almost obligatory to visit the exquisite Taj Mahal in Agra, indeed a sight no photo can do justice to. But other highlights have been up-close encounters with Tigers (!!) in Ranthambore, walks through the tea plantations of Munnar, streetfood crawls through the cities, hair-raising rickshaw rides, and rampantly amorous monkeys. The common thread we're so thrilled to hear? Infinite laughter and the happiest of memories for all. 🧡🇮🇳

The beauty of Europe in the off-season is that the cities are left mainly to the locals. The stunning architecture is not tarnished by crowds, and at night the festive lights turn every town into a fairly tale setting. It's a joy to bundle up and take it all in, and then cozy up over coffee, lunch or drinks in a funky neighbourhood café. End the days sleeping in a gorgeous hotel room that costs half of what you'd pay in July. It's not just better value, you'll get a clearer, more tranquil look at a place during your winter experience. Here's a to a few January days in Belgium. 🇧🇪🧡

We’ve been on a lot of safaris and the most important factor that we consider when planning your safari is guiding. The guides at Alex Walker’s Serian Camps are exceptional. Jen loved her recent stay at one of our favourite Florence hotels, Oltrarno Spendid.
