Today thousands of people came to celebrate at the "She the North" rally in Mississauga, where 19 year old Bianca Andreescu was honoured with a key to the city and a street named after her - Andreescu Way.

What a year and what a week it has been since Bianca's historic win at the US Open defeating Serena Williams.

Meet the founders of First Serve Travel: Ira Sherman and Rachel Gould

The founders and operators of First Serve Travel are also the Head Tennis Professionals at Kew Gardens Tennis Club, a vibrant community club in Toronto’s east end Beaches community.

Ira holds the Club Pro 3 certification, the highest level in Tennis Canada’s club professional stream. For nearly 2 decades Ira had globetrotted, sharing his love and enthusiasm as a teaching pro in beautiful destinations such as Mexico,Thailand, California, Australia and various resorts in the Caribbean. Off the court, Ira loves spending time with his wife and daughter who he says, ‘saved him from turning into a Jimmy Buffet song.' Ira has now combined his love of travel with tennis by offering exciting tennis trips...not all good things have to come to an end!

Rachel is certified in both the club professional and high performance stream as a Tennis Canada Club Pro 3 and Coach 2. Rachel is also a Tennis Pro at the Granite Club and works at Tennis Canada in the Development Department. Rachel has extensive experience working with players of all ages and abilities at university, academies and clubs throughout Toronto, Florida and Australia. Rachel and her husband share a love of travel and adventure outdoors. With tennis being such an international sport she is excited to share this passion and experience with others!
