Bringing Parents and Grandparents to Canada 🇨🇦 : Important Update

The Government of Canada has just announced a pause on new applications for the Parent and Grandparent Program (PGP) 2025 to focus on processing applications from 2024. With only 15,000 spots available, it’s a busy time!

We know this may come as disappointing news for some families, but there’s an alternative that many people overlook: the Super Visa—and it’s a fantastic option to consider!

Here’s why the Super Visa might be right for your parents or grandparents:

• Stay longer: They can stay in Canada for up to 5 years at a time.

• Plan ahead: The visa is valid for an impressive 10 years.

• Extend their visit: While in Canada, they can apply to extend their stay by an additional 2 years.

The Super Visa offers flexibility, peace of mind, and long-term opportunities to stay connected with your loved ones.

Have questions about the Super Visa or wondering if your family qualifies?

➡️ Schedule a consultation today, and let’s explore how we can bring your family closer.

💬 What challenges are you facing in reuniting with your family? Let’s discuss in the comments!

Let’s make family reunions possible, one step at a time.

FAQ: Is an advanced degree necessary for the EB-2 visa?

An advanced degree is not strictly necessary for the EB-2 visa.

Eligibility for the EB-2 category can be established through one of the following criteria:

1. Advanced Degree: Possessing an advanced degree (master’s or higher) or its equivalent, which is defined as a bachelor’s degree followed by at least five years of progressive work experience in the field.

2. Exceptional Ability: Demonstrating exceptional ability in the sciences, arts, or business, indicating a degree of expertise significantly above that ordinarily encountered in these fields.

Therefore, if an applicant can provide substantial evidence of exceptional ability, an advanced degree is not a prerequisite for the EB-2 visa.

For more detailed information, you can refer to the USCIS Employment-Based Immigration: Second Preference EB-2 page. https://www.uscis.gov/working-in-the-united-states/permanent-workers/employment-based-immigration-second-preference-eb-2

Additionally, the USCIS Policy Manual, Volume 6, Part F, Chapter 5 provides comprehensive guidelines on the requirements for advanced degree professionals and individuals with exceptional ability. https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-6-part-f-chapter-5

It’s important to note that while the EB-2 category includes both advanced degree professionals and individuals with exceptional ability, each pathway has specific evidentiary requirements that must be met to qualify.

Breaking news for aspiring Canadian immigrants – the game just changed!

Canada's Immigration Minister Marc Miller just dropped a bombshell announcement that will reshape how skilled workers enter the country.

Effective soon, the Express Entry system is getting a major overhaul.

Those coveted bonus points for LMIA-backed job offers? They're gone.

What does this mean for you?

No more 50 or 200 extra points just for having a job offer.

Now, your pathway to Canadian permanent residence will depend more critically on your language proficiency and work experience.

The ministry's clear message: combat immigration fraud and create a more transparent, skills-driven selection process.

This isn't just a policy change – it's a strategic reset that levels the playing field for talented professionals worldwide.

If you're dreaming of moving to Canada, it's time to level up your credentials.

Your skills, not just your job offer, will now tell your immigration story.

Stay informed, stay prepared.

Your Canadian journey continues to evolve.
