PSA: New Trail Signage & Coyote Safety

If you have been on the trails over the past few weeks, you might have noticed the new Coyote Smart Signs throughout the park.

Over the past few months, Coyotes have been spotted in the park. They rarely interact with humans. However, we encourage you to keep your pets on a leash and remain coyote-SMART!

If you have any questions about coyote safety, please reach out to the Department of Natural Resources.

So excited for our trick or trail event!!!!

Sit Less, Move More

🪑💻 Sitting all day? It’s time to break the cycle!

Did you know that sitting for long periods can slow your metabolism, reduce circulation, and leave you feeling sluggish? But you can change that—by simply adding more movement into your workday!

Here are 4 easy ways to stay active during the day:

☕️Take Micro-Breaks: Set a timer to stand up and stretch every 30 minutes.

🚶Walk and Talk: Have a meeting or call? Stand or walk while you chat.💬

🥗Lunch Break Stroll: Use part of your lunch to take a quick walk outside.

Desk Exercises: Simple leg lifts, seated stretches, or even a few squats next to your desk can make a big difference.

Moving more throughout the day not only improves your physical health, but also boosts your energy and focus! 🌟✨

Take the challenge: Start small—try incorporating 10 extra minutes of movement into your day today. Your body will thank you! 💪👟
