Each year on September 30, we honour the children who never returned home and the Survivors of residential schools, along with their families and communities. This day serves as a reminder of the tragic and painful history of residential schools and acknowledges the ongoing impacts they have on Indigenous communities.

Public commemoration is a vital step in the reconciliation process. We encourage everyone to take time today to reflect, learn, and listen as we work towards a more inclusive and respectful future for all.
