Our salmon are in danger. Parasites and diseases from open-net salmon farms are killing off BC’s wild salmon. Help get rid of this infection and defend our salmon before it’s too late.

Halibut are in our waters.... Don and Bob hooked into a couple of nice ones... one is 117cm (44lbs) and a 130cm (58 lbs) caught on a Megabite jig from Lighthouse lures . We were anchored out on the lady...

We have halibut out here....Don and Bob picked up a couple of nice ones when we were anchored out on the lady. 117 cm (44lbs) and 130cm (58lbs) caught on the new Megabite Jig from lighthouse lures.

Out fishing with me, myself and I out at the inside lighthouse bank got into a few fish out there.... I landed a 19lb Chinook salmon...... the other 2 were kind of useless but I got it.... Live from the field!!!

Halibut have been getting caught in close by areas. I picked up one on the troll... it was 108 cm and weighted in at 35lbs, another guide was on the hook and picked up a 133cm and an 89 cm, others have also been catching either by troll or on the hook. Loaded on my anchoring system today, so I am ready for some hali action ..... Lets go hali fishing!!!

A couple really nice vermillion rock fish..... a few good pieces of white meat. Vermillion is also called red snapper by some locals, the meat is a little courser than other rockfish and has been used as a filler trick when canning the white meat mixing with dungeness crab, when you open a can and eat it you would think it was all Dungeness crab...... First bottom fishing of the season went well for the crew..... 12 ling cod ..... 10 rock fish.... some real nice sized vermillion. .... good time of year for some early salmon and bottom fishing..... although we had one that was seriously bottom fishing.... had to tell him bottom fishing was catching ling cod and rock cod and not actually catching bottom .... after we got that figured out he got some rest nide vermillion and ling cod..... still have openings for our early season fishing specials.... check out the Web site and book that trip now

Finally got a second helm in the stern of the boat... it will make it better when landing a fish instead of relying on the autopilot or running back and forth to forward helm... can't wait to get out and try it out... Boat going in for a little cosmetic glass work and when it returns it will get a good spring cleaning and start loading it up for launching in the beginning of March. .... get out to get some prawns and also fish in the annual Sproat Lake Loggers Derby they have in Barkley Sound on the first Saturday and Sunday in march.

Check out the Early Season Discounts for salmon and cod fishing maybe even some crabs ..... discounts for March, April and May. Ling Cod opens April 1st. Salmon, Rock Cod and crabbing is always open.

Windy rough day offshore so we ended up in Barkley sound... picked up a few fish at Meares bluff. Austin island and Cree island. Best lure was a radioactive turd at 77 to 97 feet

Okay nobody guessed what went on the boat.... so here it is twin 300hp suzuki outboards.... 2 set of controls. 1 at forward helm and the other on at the stern.... also have troll mode at each station were I can increase or decrease the rpm at 50 rpm increments... now I just need a rear steering system setup....

May 5th - fish out at the inside light...we kept 5 Chinook biggest one about 18 lbs . Was a pretty nice day out there fishing,,, not so good for boat... broken a valve spring and then piston whacked it and bent valve stem.... so we were down to one engine .... what a way to start the season.... ended up trailering boat back to port

Brad with our first Chinook of the season on April 18th .... picture was taken between the turtle head and the adipose . We released a bunch of small chinooks and kept 3, biggest was about 10 lbs. It was fresh wild salmon for dinner ..... come on out and catch some for yourselves

The new year is here, time to start getting the boat ready for the 2014 season,,,,Reports are looking good for this season, runs that pass through our waters are expecting larger returns and bigger fish, should be seeing fish in the 30's to plus 40 range in july/august, lets hope so... halibut size limits have also been increased with DFO... starting in mid august with be heading offshore further for some more albacore tuna fishing..... but that is a ways off yet, better get to the updates on the boat first, boat should be in the water in early April 1,
