🎣 Salmon Fishing & Spearfishing Adventure in Ucluelet, BC! 🌊

This September long weekend, I teamed up with , , and for an unforgettable few days of rod-and-reel salmon fishing, freediving, and spearfishing on Vancouver Island’s beautiful West Coast.

For me, this was a first — exploring my favorite fishing spots from underwater! After countless hours fishing these waters aboard my charter boat, seeing the underwater world added a whole new perspective to the places I know so well.

May is a seriously underrated time of year to go in . We’re currently experiencing incredible weather, good numbers of salmon, closer to shore than usual, and the absolute best fishing we will experience all season.

Benji and his human Gemma came seeking a adventure. Benji is a senior citizen and requested a leisurely evening trip without too many big waves. Eager to accommodate, we fished the sheltered waters at the harbour entrance where he picked up a few Lings & Springs! Well done Benji! Make sure you mark those on your license.
