Benji and his human Gemma came seeking a adventure. Benji is a senior citizen and requested a leisurely evening trip without too many big waves. Eager to accommodate, we fished the sheltered waters at the harbour entrance where he picked up a few Lings & Springs! Well done Benji! Make sure you mark those on your license.

Filling the freezer isn’t what motivates us to go fishing, but it’s an added bonus to time well spent. As a general rule, I try not to promote the business with countless photos of dead fish, because it’s not the only metric that defines a successful day on the water.

The fish we do retain is one of the most sought after healthy wild protein sources on the planet. It’s gratifying to consider how our adventures lead to countless backyard cookouts shared between family and friends.

We show our gratitude by always bleeding, icing and cleaning our fish at sea in a timely manner. This ensures the best possible eating quality for you and your loved ones.

At the end of the day we send our guests along the way with their cleaned-up catch in food-grade bags. We always suggest taking them to for final processing, portioning and transportation.

Their industrial blast freezer secures the freshest quality of your fish and its -26C temperature increases the thawing time. This is a good option for guests travelling from out of town who want to return home with their catch in the best possible condition.

The Megabite is back where she belongs in ! Some of you will recognize her as one or the original charter boats. She’s caught countless salmon and halibut on Vancouver Island’s West Coast. We’re thrilled to call her ours and keep the ol’ gal in her favourite waters.
