🩵🩵MEDICAL FOSTERS/ADOPTERS NEEDED! 🩵🩵
These two young men came to us barely clinging to life. Ruff was found in the middle of the road very weak, unable to even lift his head, and covered in two different kinds of mites. The next day his brother was brought in (we are assuming siblings as same age and found in the same area). Tuff was in worse shape, he too, had two different mites, unable to lift his head, but he was also being eaten alive by maggots, we cleaned him up, dressed his wounds, and then started him on antibiotics for pneumonia. They are both doing well now, continuing their treatments for their skin, and they are now ready to go into a home. Please consider fostering, or adopting one of these precious babies. we are in desperate need to find a home for our two cats. This is a difficult situation that we have found ourselves in. We have an 8 yr old and a 5 yr old cat that we adopted from the humane society when they were kittens. We love them dearly and have become our children. As I’m sending this email I’m crying as I type, never thinking I would be asking to find another home for them. My husband has excepted a job in Montana and will be in corporate housing that doesn't allow pets. I am disabled and unfortunately can’t stay in Florida and keep them ( or I would) while my husband relocates for his job. We live in gulf county and have exhausted all resources available here and we leave Saturday morning. They are up to date on all shots, chipped and fixed. Indoor cats only and would not survive outside. Neither one has an outgoing personality, but loving. One is terrified of storms. Would probably not do well with children since they have only been around myself and husband. If you could help or give me a resource that could I would greatly appreciated it. Willing to donate for their care. Thank you for any assistance. These are NOT unwanted animals, they have been my life. They are loved and have been cared for better than some human children. If unable to find homes, will be contacting a veterinarian and let them have the dignity they deserve so they don’t go through any trauma and be put to sleep in a humane manner. The Gulf County Board of County Commissioners has issued a Local State of Emergency for Gulf County due to Tropical Storm Idalia.
Voluntary Evacuations have been issued for Indian Pass & low lying areas. Mandatory evacuations for all visitors North of the stump hole. Mandatory evacuations for Recreational Vehicles along C30 and Highway 98 from the Franklin County Line to Mexico Beach including all of Cape San Blas, Simmons Bayou, Indian Pass, Highlandview, and St Joe Beach.

We're not weather experts, but we feel like we pay attention to the pro's that offer the best forecasts and advice. We're feeling "ok" this afternoon about the weather heading our way.
It's impossible to not notice a major hurricane that close, so the wind and weather are going to be terrible on Wednesday. Different weather models have different predictions, but it's going to be windy...that's for certain.
We'll be here, ready to serve you and your family, and probably hanging out chatting about what we would all rather be doing than hiding from weather. Tuck the patio furniture away, get the flashlight batteries lined up, and expect that we may loose power, internet and phones as this passes by.
We're ready for all of it, and hope you're able to stop by "The Cape's Living Room" and spend some time with us, that draft beer hits a little different when it's raining sideways. Be safe out there everyone, the bad weather is on the way, but we'll get through it together. :)
We'll be saying a genuine prayer for those in the path. We've been there, and it's a nightmare.
