Vacation Shopping Tip EXPOSED

Happy Thursday everyone, I'd like take a moment and give you an example of how you can be tricked while booking a vacation on your own. We had a prospective client as for a quote on a Cruise on a particular day and cruise line, we quoted a price for the balcony room to come to a total of $1930.86. He was very lovely and said that he saw the cruise for 739.99 and would like to save a little money. We took a look an found the price advertised for 739 was actually a week after the desired departure date for an inside room and not a balcony and without taxes and fees. I've attached the photos to show you when you start putting real information in online booking sites what you actually see it that it ends up being slightly more than what we quoted in the beginning.
We are here to help you get the best deal possible, we love saving money ourselves and want you to be able to do the same. Be Mindful of the "online deals" you don't know what the hidden costs are before it's too late. it could be extra money or a substandard room or resort. Please Please do your homework before you do anything. We do the research for you each and every time, all the time.

The time has come....
Where I see tons of friends traveling. Friends who have asked me for quotes and never booked. Friends who want to “just ask a quick question” about a vacation they have booked elsewhere. Friends who have booked and then cancelled and then go and book other vacations on their own.
It is inevitable. And every year I say I am not going to let it affect me. But every year it stings. And perhaps this year more than ever because for two years I basically worked for free. Because we don’t get paid unless and until a client travels. So that means that the hundreds of trips that have been cancelled in the last two years (often after me rescheduling for the clients multiple times), I was never paid for.
You wouldn’t go to your mechanic and ask them to fix a mistake for free that another mechanic made. You wouldn’t go to a lawyer and expect them to file a suit for you for free, even if you don’t get the results you wanted. You wouldn’t ask your hairdresser to consult on a new style and then go to someone else to get it done. But for some reason, people don’t understand that they are doing all these things to their travel agent.
So this is my PSA on how we get paid. And my plea to be kind and thoughtful. Know that we are professionals and deserve to be paid for our time just like any other professional. I invest a ton of time and money into being as knowledgeable as possible to help my clients. I absolutely love my job and I believe our friends and family are not trying to hurt me but perhaps don’t understand how it works for Travel Advisors.
So take this friendly PSA for what it is.
