This beautiful garden is located in Cow Head adjacent to the St. Mary’s Anglican Church and the ocean. They display 3 vegetable gardens and 40 beautiful flower beds with plants that have amazingly adapted to life by the sea. This one hits close to the Arrow’s Den family. Being a fisherperson with family history of my Great Grandfather Roberts being a lighthouse keeper and passing by this lighthouse itself witnessing its beauty and light off the shores of Rocky Harbour really shows the picturesque rocky shoreline and mountains behind. While visiting the lighthouse on land you will be sure to discover its vibrant, century old history and culture with its historical photos, audio recordings, lighthouse keeper logbooks and much more. Marble Mountain offers more then just winter activities. They offer Zip Line Tours year round as well as the Spider Challenge - High Ropes Course. Marble Zip Line Tours offers nine zip lines that are up to 2000 feet long, 285 feet high reaching speeds of up to 30km/hr. What a day in the backcountry ❄️
Parks Canada would like to advise snowmobilers and winter users that all areas west of Highway 430 and all areas at less than 350 meters in elevation in Gros Morne National Park remain closed to snowmobiling due to inadequate snow cover. However, due to recent snowfall, areas above 350 meters in elevation will be open to snowmobiling. Please see the updated map for details on area closures.
Parks Canada would like to remind all users that snowmobilers are to stay away from areas with exposed vegetation to prevent damage to vegetation and terrain.
Snowmobiling season dates are subject to change at the discretion of Parks Canada due to factors such as, but not limited to unfavourable snow conditions, dangerous conditions, or impact to ecosystems.
