Happy New Year to my past, current and future guests! 🎉

It might be cold outside but it's very warm and bright inside the cabin ❤️ Cheers to 2025, let's make some memories and put 2024 behind us ❤️

Summer 2025 is officially open!
The first week of summer season has already been booked and I opened the airbnb calender less than 24 hours ago! Last year, the summer months (July & August) were fully booked by the end of March! 🤯

First snow at the cabin ❄️

One of my goals as a host this past year was to improve privacy and security at the cabin. Raving reviews from guests over the summer and fall, support how rare it is to have a cabin with a fully fenced yard. Guests with kids and/or dogs have peace of mind when being outside. As a reactive foster dog mom, it was crucial to have a safe location to let my dogs roam. Duke enjoyed the privacy of the yard and the escape from city life this past weekend. He enjoyed a beautiful morning by the fire and had a nice trigger-free walk around the neighbourhood. Even in the off season, there is lots to do to occupy your time. Walks to the beach, reading, movie marathons, sleeping in to your hearts content, firing up the woodstove and snowshoeing once we have a little bit more fluff to walk on 💙

Happy Thanksgiving from our little family to yours ❤️
Feeling very thankful and grateful for the many returning guests that message each year with plans to come back. Many guests have been so thankful for the beautifully fenced yard at the cabin. Hoping next year brings even more blessings as we finalize our plans for 2025 ❤️

Outdoor updates are officially complete 🙌
Summer 2025 will feature:
◇Fully skirted deck with under deck storage for kayaks (amenity available for an additional cost)
--2 adult kayaks and 2 child kayaks
◇New outdoor patio table set
◇Matching outdoor area rugs for patio set and kids table area
◇Freshly stained deck & skirting
◇Added deck gate for secured deck to yard transition

A gentle reminder to all returning guests that Summer 2025 will open for bookings as of January 1, 2025 ❤️

It is with utmost pride and joy to announce the completion of a major project at the cabin.
The cabin property is now fully fenced ❤️

The play structure area has 4ft tall chainlink fencing, enclosing 500sqft. The backyard and sideyard have 5ft tall chainlink fencing with beautiful ambient string lighting enclosing 4000sqft.
A deck gate has been added to secure the driveway access point to the cabin deck. The deck area now features a gorgeous outdoor rug for the patio table and matching outdoor rug for kids table. Deck skirting has commenced and I've completed just over 65% of that detailed work. The remaining deck skirting will be completed throughout the summer in between any gaps in guest stays.
The firepit area now has superb privacy with 6ft tall wood fencing and improved guest comfort. Featuring a new storage bench for camping chairs and matching storage box for firepit supplies.

All guests with kids or pets will be notified via Airbnb of the fencing update. There will be no impact to pricing for existing summer 2024 bookings. I hope everyone has a lovely summer ☀️

We understand that dogs are family members and not just pets. We are very proud to be dog friendly and an exclusive spot to families!
Big news coming for June 2024!

Contractor is booked and we can't wait to see them break ground!

For those that don't know, we foster for Manitoba Underdogs Rescue. Shadow (as pictured) was adopted last week and we're going to miss bringing him to the cabin!

Did you know the cabin kitchen is fully equipped to make muffins? All you need are the muffin baking cups! This year my focus was improving and updating bakeware & cookware options in the kitchen and that mission was a success!
