Well stuck in the woods during tropical storm Teddy. Going to have Lasagna for supper because we can not BBQ. We have a bit of an issue as you will see.

Victoria By The Sea, PEI
Located at the extreme southwestern edge of Queens County, between Charlottetown and Summerside, is a quaint seaside town. We visited just when Atlantic Canada opened the Atlantic Canada bubble and the village was quiet with some craft shops and restaurants closed. However, it was extremely easy to imagine how bustling this village would be on a hot summer’s day. It is a contrast of beautiful old seasonal homes; some with craft shops selling See More Here https://www.exploreatlanticcanada.ca/travel-blog/things-of-interest/victoria-by-the-sea-pei.html
Gilberts Cove Lighthouse, dubbed the “Greatest Little Lighthouse in Canada”, located a short hop from Digby is well worth the trip. Located on a beautiful spit of land surrounded on 3 sides by St. Mary’s Bay; the beach is accessible with a picnic area and their website boasts of the lighthouse family picnic on the 3rd Sunday in July.
Unique in that the lighthouse is only one of three of its type left in Canada; the lighthouse is square with the lighthouse keeper’s house located... View more at https://www.exploreatlanticcanada.ca/travel-blog/lighthouses/gilberts-cove-lighthouse.html
Here we are at Bayside Campground in Oyster Bridge in PEI better known as Prince Edward Island what you're watching is the way things start out and by the end of the evening there's not room for anybody to sit so everybody has to dance.
This is the reason why Gary and I love to explore our Atlantic Provinces and talk with as many people as we can. You never know who is going to have a great story. I like covered bridges and when I researched my blog regarding covered bridges in New Brunswick, I checked for covered bridges in the other Maritime Provinces. Prince Edward Island is not known for it’s covered bridges and I found only one reference to a bridge in Hunter River and I wondered if it was still standing. While out traveling around we came upon Hunter River and went exploring. See More Here...https://www.exploreatlanticcanada.ca/travel-blog/things-of-interest/old-mill-and-covered-bridge-hunter-river.html
New Brunswick currently has 58 covered bridges throughout the province. Some are still a viable part of secondary highways, some on back roads which are passable and more snowmobile/ATV trails. Others are preserved.... See more at https://www.exploreatlanticcanada.ca/travel-blog/things-of-interest/romance-of-covered-bridges-new-brunswick.html
We searched for this little treasure. An old restored Grist Mill and covered Bridge at Hunter River. The owner was there and started up the wheel for us. What a treat. The covered bridge here was just what we were searching for the only covered bridge we could find in PEI
Karen and Gary here stopping to enjoy the tip end of Savage Harbor on Route 350 on Prince Edward Island. A beautiful sunny day, we're having a great tour around the shoreline.
Overlooking Pubnico Harbour is a living museum, taking you back in time to Acadian life in the early 1900s. Walking through the village, take your time to talk with the animators in period costume who will tell you about the rich culture and traditions of Acadians during this period in time.
This was the life of fisherman and I was intrigued by the salted cod drying on the racks as we make our way to a picturesque wharf overlooking the harbour. We enjoyed the wood smell and talking with the animator in the boat shed. He was building a dory and we could see an example of one out front the boat shed and another in the water of Pubnico Harbour. View More at the link below

Our Stay at Bridgetown Family Camping - We spent a week here last year and once camping was allowed with opening up the province, we went back for our first weekend of the 2020 camping season. Chessey, I am so happy to be in the motorhome camping again.
Your right Sadie, this is a small campground, but it has lots to do for dogs. In terms of {read or listen to the rest here}https://www.exploreatlanticcanada.ca/travel-blog/wagging-tales/bridgetown-family-camping.html
This was our view Saturday morning at the New Brunswick Border around 7am. What a beautiful morning and trafic was moving right on through.Decided it was time to get breakfast at the Big Stop and head out for PEI. Look out folks here we come!
Well the girls got us to the New Brunswick border. Not a problem getting past the check point at all. They were waving everyone through.
Explore Atlantic Canada is on the way to PEI.. let's see if it is as easy.
A lovely, easy drive in the heart of Acadian New Brunswick. Route (or Hwy) #134 runs long a scenic water coast with small towns all along the way to Bathurst. The route is a short drive, but with the stops along the way the trip took us a couple of days. We started in Belledune where we made the Belledune Campsite, right on the beautiful Bay of Chaleur our central spot. After busy days this was a quiet campsite to relax with a beach to enjoy the sunsets
this is a barrier along Jacquet river as part of the salmon restorationin NB First stop at the Jacquet River Salmon Barrier in Check it all HERE https://www.exploreatlanticcanada.ca/travel-blog/travel-routes.html/belledune-to-bathhurst-new-brunswick-tour.html
So our new to us Travel time home got some signage Yesterday.
I like the fact I will not be jumping in and out of the back of the truck any more.😂
Truck was easier to clean though.😟
What was I thinking.🤨 🤔
Jeep gets dressed up next. 😄 also just realized how bored I must be.. all those emoji ?? sheesh😎
Have a Great Day Everyone !!
Here is a place we really enjoyed Village Historique Acadien, in Bertrand, New Brunswick
Listen to Karen tell you about our trip from 1770 to 1949..
Unlike many of the living museums we have visited (and I enjoy the history brought to life, so we visit a lot) rather than set certain years in time, Village Historiqe Acadien portrays Acadian life from 1770 to 1949. Click the link :) https://www.exploreatlanticcanada.ca/travel-blog/living-museums/village-historique-acadien.html
From a previous year when we could visit Fortress Louisbourg - As the largest reconstruction project in North America, when you step through the Dauphin side gate; don’t let the French Guard challenge you; you are stepping into 1744 when the French held the fortified city and you are visiting.. The girls enjoy exploring but sometimes they just want to stop for a swim. The Annapolis river in Bridgetown more than meets their needs.
Here at Nimrods Campground close to Sherbrook Village. What a beautiful spot. Just finished a short walk and got some photos to Share.
