The Irish Trivia night, scheduled for tonight is postponed due to the weather and is rescheduled for Sunday, March 26th at 5:00 p.m.

Also, an update for tomorrow Friday, March 17 - You are invited to join us for an Irish traditional music session with local musicians from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. You are free to drop down earlier for a bowl of soup, the Club will be open at 6:00 p.m.

There are still tickets available for the dinner and dance on Saturday night, cost is $30 single. Please email bis1806 @ yahoo.com if you have any questions or if you would like to purchase a ticket.

BIS Irish Week is starting this week!!

March 16: Irish Trivia Night! Free entry! Doors open at 7:30, Trivia starts at 8:00pm. Bar will be open. 19+
The trivia night on Thursday, March 16 will be a fun event and is being organized by the Irish Language Scholar at Memorial University, Cecily Lynch. Thank you Cecily for doing this.

March 17 : Celebrate St. Patrick's Day with Music & Drinks! Doors open at 4pm.
Unfortunately Tarahan double booked on Friday, March 17 and we are working on other options for that day. We apologize for this inconvenience.

March 18 : Dinner and Dance! Starts at 7pm. Tickets are $30. Meal includes Glazed Loin of Pork with Savoury Dressing, Creamed Potatoes, Carrots, Broccoli, Irish Trifle, Tea and Coffee. Music By Prossor's Rock. Pot of Gold 50/50 Draw.
Tickets must be paid for in advance. E-transfers to [email protected] are accepted. The cutoff to purchase tickets is Tuesday, March 14.

March 20: Come enjoy the St. Patrick's Day Holiday with us! The traditional breakfast at the Benevolent Irish Society of bake beans, toutons and bologna will continue. It will start at 11:00 am.

We are looking for volunteers to help prepare breakfast and if you can donate anything to help with the breakfast it would be appreciated. Thank you.

Get your 50/50 tickets!

Once again this year, we are operating a 50/50 Pot of Gold ticket draw to be drawn March 18, 2023. The lottery will work the same as it did last year with 50% of the net proceeds to be paid out as the main prize, 25% will be used to support the cultural and heritage activities of the Benevolent Irish Society, and 25% will be donated to the Kids Eat Smart Foundation. Tickets are $5 each - the more tickets we sell, the bigger the benefit to all!

Due to the winter storm warning, tonight's meeting is CANCELED.

The Preliminary AGM will be postponed until Wednesday, Feb February 22 and the AGM will go ahead on Wednesday, March 1.
