We are Hiring this summer,
Applicants must have extensive guiding experience, either backcountry canoe tripping and/or Sea Kayak guiding. Our operations are on the shores of Philip Edward Island, northern Georgian Bay. Our offer is logistically challenging, operating on open water with varying weather conditions and heavy equipment. All applicants must be willing to live in a tent that they supply for the duration of the contract, have a strong work ethic and a “get it done” attitude. Meals will be provided by OutpostCo and cooked over a propane stovetop which will be provided, or open fire, pending restrictions.

Successful applicants must have access to either a car or a truck and possess a valid driver’s license.

Certifications: WFR (wilderness first responder) or other
NLS or Bronze Cross
Pleasure boat licence
Driver’s licence
SRT 1 or 2 (asset but not necessary)

Remuneration: Successful applicants will be part of the Government Summer jobs program and hired as a contract worker for one week at a time. Payment is dependent on experience.

Contract work is based on a weekly employment contract. Successful applicants will be part of the Canadian Summer Jobs program and must therefore be under 30 and be a Canadian citizen.
