My earliest memory of making something from nothing is my Mom and I sitting down with a stack of construction paper and constructing imaginative scenes - castles, farms, play grounds - anything that we could cut out of paper, we would create! Fast forward to the purchase of my first home with my husband. I was (and still may be) obsessed with making it feel "homey". I see ideas and think "I can do
that!" Our home is full of things that I have created, and often I get comments about how warm our house feels. After much encouragement, and many many requests, I decided to start selling what I create. In my shop you'll find things that will warm your home - things that will be comforting and evoke conversation. My inner social worker wants this venture to be something that will also give back. Homelessness is an issue affecting not only those around the world, but those in our own communities as well. In starting Coast to Coaster, I committed to giving 10% of proceeds to Habitat for Humanity, a wonderful organization that is helping bring people out of homelessness across Canada, and the world. My hope is that with each purchase, Habitat for Humanity can help someone in need. Know that each time you take a look at your piece around your house, you've also helped someone get one step closer to having their own home.
