Slow Travel Workshops
“Compassionate tours leave a positive impact” Discover ancient cultures while enhancing art, photography and cooking skills with expert Gekotour Slow Travel Workshop local guides and professional facilitators. Sit back and reflect in remote communities away from the hustling tour groups. As an “Off-the-beaten-track” explorer, you’ll stay in traditional guesthouses,
sailboats and locally run hotels, dining on safe healthy local cuisine found just around the corner if you know how to look for it! I’m Suzan, the Geko Treker, experienced traveller for 50 years – BEGINNING AT AGE 3! Lifestyle of travel, learning, engaging closely with locals along the paths, I love it and, open heartedly share interactive experiences with others. Trained as an educator, I’m well suited to patiently communicate with language differences. Experienced graduate in Hospitality and Tourism, I have a good eye and clarity for quality when it comes to choosing rest and dining establishments. Difficulties can be solved in a timely and efficient manner. I’m known by my companions as having a strong ability to provide a smooth travel experience.
“I was a little nervous at first travelling to Indonesia alone, but I felt secure with Suzan because you can really trust her and she knows how to communicate with the locals and with her you are able to visit new non-touristy areas.”
Daniella, December 2013
