Located in Val-des-Monts, on pristine Lac Bataille, it is only 40 minutes from Ottawa and 2.5 hours from Montreal. Enjoy sunsets from the docks or spacious terrace and starry nights from the hot tub. Take time out to do yoga, swim, kayak, paddle board, snowshoe, ski, hike or just relax in nature.
The space
You will be charmed by this superb 4-season chalet! An impressive wood fireplace will allow you to create your own moment of escape. You will be delighted to share meals with family and friends while admiring the exceptional view of the waterfront directly from the dining room. Prepare delicious meals in a spacious, functional and fully equipped kitchen. The accessibility of the patio door opening onto the terrace will allow you to cook up your tasty meals outdoors on a BBQ even in the winter. The huge terrace allows you to be in the heart of nature and admire the magnificent sunset beaming over the vast expanse of water. At night, have a family bonfire outside, roasting marshmallows and admiring the stars or sit back peacefully in the hot tub and marvel at the moon above your heads. The moonlight fills the chalet with a warm glow all night.
This truly is a 4-season chalet, offering activities all year round. In the summer, enjoy the crystal clear waters of Lac Bataille. Jump off the docks into deep, clear water with no weeds ever. Younger children have a shallow entry off the shore. Use the 4 kayaks, 2 paddle boards, and a pedal boat to enjoy investigating the nearby islands. Fish off the dock, catching the stocked rainbow trout or bass. Go on an adventure through the culvert and explore beautiful Lac Rheaume.
Wintertime and snow bring a quiet coziness to this beautiful log home. Evenings are magically spent beside the oversized stone fireplace while reading on the leather couches. The more active will enjoy snowshoeing in the backwoods, cross country skiing at nearby Nakkertok North or downhill skiing, snowboarding or tubing at nearby Edelweiss. All of this exercise is balanced with a glass of wine and a hot tub beneath the stars to help relax the sore muscles.
The chalet’s warmth is evident the moment you enter. Massive cedar logs support enormous picture windows that look out onto the lake. Located within a cliff wall, Moonlit Peak has the best view of Lac Bataille. We offer you all the cozy comfort you want in one of the chalet's 4 bedrooms. Bedding is fully provided. There are three spacious bedrooms on the ground floor and the master is on the second floor with expansive views of the lake. Washer/dryer and linen in the bathrooms are provided. A second living room with abundant windows on the ground floor with a tv for the kids while adults relax upstairs. Full-sized ping pong table can be set up for hours of fun. The chalet is equipped with board games, card games, wifi and television. Exercise equipment is also available (spin bike, rowing machine, yoga equipment, weights) on request.
Additionally, you'll have access to the bunkhouse which sleeps 10! A great place to send the kids and teenagers.
For those who might need to work or stay in touch with the office or clients, the high speed internet supports Zoom calls and streaming. There is also a cell phone booster providing voice and data for most carriers.
