We recently updated our salary report on what the average Canadian earns. Now we’re taking a look at what the top ten high-paying jobs are right now and which occupations pay the least. According to Statistics Canada, the average wage for Canadian employees is currently $952 per week – or just under $50,000 a year. Most of the jobs on our high-paying list earn at least three times that much (And the lowest paying occupations pay less than half the average).

Study in Canada

If you intend to study in Canada, most foreign nationals must apply for a study permit. A study permit, once issued, allows a foreign national to study in Canada at a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) for the duration of the specified program.

Validity
A study permit is usually valid until the length of the program and 90 days more. This extra time is enough to prepare a student to leave Canada or apply to extend the stay. It is possible to extend your stay as a student if you have not completed the program on the expiry date of the study permit. Although, if the program ends before the expected time, the study permit will be considered invalid 90 days after you complete the program (no matter what day is printed on the study permit). The program is considered complete either on the date that the first notification arrives from the school (such as an email, letter, transcript, etc.) or when the degree, diploma, or certificate is issued.

Recently Manitoba shared its latest draw details where Feb 26 MPNP EOI draw issues 207 LAAs for provincial nomination. Also, out of 207 LAAs, 5 have been issued to applicants who had a valid Job Seeker Validation Code and a valid Express Entry ID. Besides, applicants have been selected from the following MPNP sub-streams:

Skilled Workers in Manitoba (SWM)

158 LAAs issued.
457 minimum CRS score requirement.

International Education Stream (IES)

28 LAAs issued

Skilled Workers Overseas (SWO)

21 LAAs issued to applicants invited by MPNP under the Strategic Recruitment Initiative.
698 minimum CRS score requirement.

However, in comparison to the last Feb 12 MPNP draw, in the current draw:

SWM

82 less LAAs issued.
CRS score low by 57 points.
IES

5 less LAAs issued.
SWO

3 less LAAs issued.
CRS score up by 22 points.

Looking at the above figures, the Feb 26 draw has its fair share of highs and lows. But looking at the other immigration draws we can expect a positive change in the upcoming draws. because Canada is currently experiencing a tide of positive immigration trends. This means that the CRS score will go low and the number of applicants getting selected will go up. So, anyone who wishes to set up its life in Canada must apply now.
