Join us for an evening of transceiver testing and avalanche safety at Bluebird: Coffee Tuning and Rentals .ca in Squamish, BC, Canada.

of Sports will be giving a presentation titled "Avalanche Safety By The Numbers: What Really Keeps You Safe.” We will have an on-site tester who will test your barryvox device, a service which you normally need to send your device away for $30 to ensure it's functioning.

Even better, you’ll be entered to win a special prize from Coast Mountain Collective! Beer will be available by donation, and all proceeds will go to Squamish Search and Rescue.

ACC Vancouver is participating in a workshop on "Preparedness for Winter trips" along with Fjallraven and POW (Protect our Winters) on Nov 16 at 6:30pm.

The workshop is to help educate those who are new to outdoor winter recreation such as winter hiking, winter camping, layering, winter safety and help them get into nature. POW will be giving a short presentation on their work.

Overview/Agenda:

light snacks/appetizers
non-alcoholic drinks for purchase for $2. To be facilitated by the POW team
Raffle tickets for Fjallraven and POW prize packs. $5 for 1 tickets, $20 for 5 tickets, and $50 for an arms length
Discounted shopping on Fjallraven gear (20%) ACC Vancouver members and non member
(proceeds going to POW Canada)
