📷Throwback to a favourite trip to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam 🇻🇳

Ho Chi Minh City, or its old name “Saigon”, is a fabulous city to explore, especially if you love food Hassan 🇲🇦!

Sooooo many places to eat at and historical sites to visit, Ho Chi Minh City is a definite must if you’re making your way to Vietnam for any trip.

Besides walking and exploring so many things, one of my favourite things is to take a Vespa Food Tours at night with ! I’ve done their Food Tours twice and it has been amazing and I highly recommend it!

Not far from Ho Chi Minh City you can also take a bus to Mekong Delta, which is a whole experience of itself that I think everyone should do.

My favourite thing about that was the floating market. to see every boat as its own floating shop and people riding boats to get from one to the other at the break of Dawn… Very very cool.

another highlight… staying at - wow what an incredible experience to be able to stay so close to nature and have some of the most delicious food.

Now this makes me wanna go back to Vietnam…! Perhaps in 2026 a Philippines/Vietnam Travel Experience should be in the works… What do you think?

Real Travel Experience - Amal Cooking Classes 🥘

A favourite among our guests is a cooking class while in Morocco.

Being able to “take home” something like a cooking class will let your trip live on for years to come. 🥰

Our favourite place to have cooking classes is at Amal in Targa.

From the preparations, the cooking, the beautiful tea ceremony to finally eating the fruit of your labour - Amal’s morning cooking class will be a highlight for all while in Morocco.

The women of Amal are amazing and ther centre is a beacon of hope and light for everyone who walks through its doors.

They have a restaurant in Gueliz - the new town - that you definitely need to visit if you’re in Marrakech for several days. As well their Targa location offers a beautiful Saturday lunch buffet.

DESTINATION HIGHLIGHT: Asilah, Morocco 🇲🇦

Ahhhhh… Asilah. A small coastal town located less than an hour south of Tangier.

It is home to a medina full of white canvas buildings with murals, a stunning beach and a a quiet and calm to soothe any travelling soul.

Sometimes when I am working it doesn’t look like a travel host - it looks more like a photographer!

That’s because for over 2 decades that was what I did - I was a wedding, portrait and travel photographer. Who knew?! 😉

I still put on my professional photographer hat - but it doesn’t feel like work. It comes in the form of giving back.

I love being able to use some of my skills to give back to amazing organizations around the globe, in destinations I visit with guests.

This was a time I was helping with a cookbook at Amal Women’s training centre in Marrakech.

It’s always a joy “working” with Amal 🫶🏽❤️

Lesvos is home to some of Greece’s most delicious and unique cuisine.

One dish that’s is loved by many is our pastes or local sushi as we like to call it. 😉

Sardeles Pastes are found mostly in Lesvos, mainly because the sardines from the Gulf of Kaloni are considered the best in Greece, if not the world.

During the summer months the sardines are caught in the morning, salted on the boat or immediately upon returning to the port, and then eaten that evening with ouzo.

There’s also a pickled raw fish called lakerda and smoked raw fish called skoubri.

All of them are delicious and all of them - you should definitely try! 🥢🍣

DESTINATION HIGHLIGHT: Molyvos, Lesvos 🇬🇷

Known as one of the most beautiful villages in Greece, Molyvos or Mythimna in the past, is a must-visit for anyone who makes their way to Lesvos.

The old agora or shopping street, the Byzantine era castle, the cobblestone streets filled with shops, restaurants and sites to see and the seaside - from frolicking swims to romantic sunsets.

Molyvos is a dream and you need to experience her for yourself. 🩵

Let’s take our North Aegean destination- Lesvos - for example.

Yes it’s my home, where I live… but I also have made some amazing connections with beautiful people who, when we collaborate, give my guests an incredible experience.

Whether it’s a boat or mountain bike excursions, a culinary experience, wine or olive oil tasting, self-care while on holidays, getting in touch with nature or shopping for local products… the beautiful people here on Lesvos are some of the most wonderful that my guests will come in contact with.

And I’m so thrilled to call them friends too ❤️

I have always loved ceramics / pottery. I can’t help but buy a new piece any time I am in an artisans shop. I love it! And I have secretly dreamed of learning how to make ceramics. To throw clay. To create pieces. Every time I am in Fes with guests and we go to the pottery cooperative, they ask if anyone would like to try the wheel. I always have at least one guest who wants to. This time I wanted to…! So I did! (Thanks for the push @freychristel ! 🤍) And sure enough…I loved it. As you can see. (And yes I think I drooled lol!) 🤣 Where will this lead me? Time only knows. 😉 What is something you have wanted to try for so long but haven’t yet?
