The temperatures warmed up a bit this weekend and fishing was ok on our charters in Vancouver and Sidney. Found a few good bites in Vancouver and Howe Sound and a few in Haro Strait in Sidney. Gibbs Fishing Wee Gees and Coho Kiillers worked on the Sidney side and hootchies were the ticket in Vancouver.

Looks like warmer temps later this week!

Some quality bites to be had in Sidney yesterday! Trolled around with the Port Sidney Marina crew and enjoyed calm waters and some good action very close to the dock! Biggest fish of the day weighed in at 19.6lbs! A Gibbs Fishing Bon Chovy Wee Gee was hard to beat!

If you want to get out winter fishing, we have 2 boats based at the Port Sidney Marina . We are only 10 minutes away from the ferry terminal and 5 minutes from the Victoria Airport. We are a convenient, calm water and easy option if you want to make a quick trip from Vancouver, Washington State or Alberta

Sidney is also one of the few areas on the south coast that is open to hatchery chinook salmon retention in April and May! It is one of the beat options if you want to keep salmon in the spring time!

Overall it was a pretty good weekend of winter chinook fishing in Vancouver and Sidney! Sure is nice to have this stable winter weather.

Another solid day in Vancouver waters today! Rene from Top Water Guide Services took a break from her Fraser Valley based guiding company and did a full day trip with .n.power! The fish, prawns and crabs cooperated nicely!

November was an exciting month from a weather and fishing perspective. We chose our weather between the fall storms and found some nice winter chinook salmon. It looks like it is going to be another good winter of salmon fishing. The weather has now stabilized and we are really looking for to winter...

Cory and his guests just wrapped up an "adventurous" 3 day/ 2 night trip on Bowen Island. Staying in cozy cabins at the everyone stayed warm and cozy at night. Luckily, there was acceptable water conditions to fish, while the weather bomb cycloned through. The fishing was tricky the first 2 days in the challenging weather, but ended on a high note today with 5 nice keeper chinook to accompany the 3 nice keeper chinook landed on the first two days. Looking forward to some nicer weather to roll in... hopefully soon!
