The new measure for families fleeing violence in the Ukraine is now open. We continue to help where we can and will be contacting all of our partners and affiliations to ensure they have the most up to date information on the evolving situation.

Today we’re launching the Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET), a special temporary residence pathway to welcome Ukrainians and their families to Canada: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/news/2022/03/canada-launches-new-temporary-residence-pathway-to-welcome-those-fleeing-the-war-in-ukraine.html

With CUAET, Ukrainians and their family members can stay in Canada as temporary residents for up to 3 years. They will also be eligible for a free open work permit or study permit, which will allow them to work or study across Canada.

Ukrainians and their family who are already in Canada can also apply to extend their visitor status or work permit for up to 3 years or apply for a new work or study permit. We will waive the application fees.

WORKING HOLIDAY VISAS

Dear Valued clients,

I'm afraid with the new rules for Canada, there is no room for non-compliance.

In Canada, the regulations have become extremely strict. You can do it yourself (self-represent) or you can hire an RCIC that is registered with the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants https://college-ic.ca/ and is Active status (in good standing).

If an overseas agency doesn't put you in touch with an RCIC immediately, it means that they are doing unauthorized immigration procedures. And when the application goes in, it will be flagged if the Canadian High Commission or Consulate or VAC can't find the Representative's name on the CICC registry.

This can result in major delays for travelers, refusals and even a ban from Canada for misrepresentation under section 40 of IRPA.
You should know that all countries have rules surrounding visa work. Ireland, Australia and New Zealand all have registration and regulatory rules that must be followed.

UPDATE: COVID 19 AND TRAVELING TO CANADA

Fully-Vaccinated Traveller Exemption

Foreign nationals who qualify for the fully vaccinated traveller exemption can enter Canada for discretionary travel. Please see this page on our website for more information.

To be considered fully vaccinated, travellers must have received the full series of a COVID-19 vaccine — or combination of vaccines — accepted by the Government of Canada, at least 14 days prior to entering Canada. Currently, those vaccines are manufactured by:

· Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty, tozinameran, BNT162b2)

· Moderna (Spikevax, mRNA-1273)

· AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria, COVISHIELD, ChAdOx1-S, AZD1222)

· Janssen/Johnson & Johnson (Ad26.COV2.S)

· Bharat Biotech (Covaxin, BBV152 A, B, C)

· Sinopharm (Beijing) BBIBP-CorV (Vero Cells)

· Sinovac (CoronaVac, PiCoVacc)

Travellers must provide proof of vaccination in English or French (or a certified translation, along with the original). Travellers can receive their vaccine in any country.
