The Safari Project showcases new development paradigms that are working in what was once to be known as the epicenter of the HIV/ AIDS pandemic. Lyantonde District Uganda has overcome obstacles and are utilizing their own third world ideas into empowering endeavors. It is our responsibility to engage others to promote 21st century sustainable development. Gone are the days of ‘quick aid’, ‘tied-aid’ and imposing our western standards. It is time to listen to the stories of ‘ssengas’ and ‘koijas’ (aunts and uncles) who have lived, survived, and started over in a time of poverty, climate change, HIV/AIDS, as well as having been distanced from the fast developing west and its new technological standards..
