DiscoverTotems

DiscoverTotems They come in all shapes and sizes, a few in serious states of disrepair and others not quite completed – but all worth tracking down and seeing for yourself.

A project to track all of the publicly accessible totem poles in the Pacific Northwest, and giving them their due respect and hopefully educating myself and others on their beauty, origins and stories! Open your eyes a little when you wander around your neighborhoods and public spaces – you’ll find dozens of wonderful hidden totem poles all over the city with great stories carved and painted by so

me of the most talented artists on the planet. And that’s what I hope to do – track all the totem poles in the city of Vancouver and give them their due respect and hopefully educate myself and others on their beauty, origins and stories!

A fabulous shot of a Bella Coola long house with windows they traded for with the Hudson Bay Company circa 1895. The art work is incredible!

🏗️ Our House of Clans Update🛠️
Have you seen the exterior art done by late Master carver and Artist ʔantuni Tony Paul (Indigenous Illustration), Designer Lissa Nunweiler with vaka Marketing (Signage/Architectural Graphics). We really love how it turned out - there are still a few kinks being fixed, like the definition in the double headed eagle that crowns the top of the building, but we just love the way this all turned out so far.

We can’t wait to welcome our new tenants to their suites! Look for move-in dates now postponed until early 2024.
