We welcome our guests to our non-smoking large bungalow 1900 sq ft cottage, located in the charming community of Traverse Bay, MB. This cabin will comfortably accommodate 8 guests! With 4 bedrooms you can bring down the whole family for a getaway.
The Space
You will love our large screened room, which features a large sectional couch and a propane fire table. Bring a propane tank. Enjoy the outdoors without actually getting bitten by insects!
In this same room, is an outdoor kitchen. Use the large toaster oven to roast a rotisserie chicken, or use the grill to cook some hamburgers. There is also an electric grill provided for those who wish. There is also an outdoor propane bbq for those who like to grill outdoors.
The open-concept living room/ kitchen combination features a table that seats eight. The kitchen includes all major appliances: microwave, a refrigerators and oven. Extra features – Ice maker and theatre popcorn. There is a small bar fridge in the screenroom and a 2nd fridge is the skylight room.
Curl up on one of our 3 big comfy couches where you can relax and read a book or enjoy some TV. A large selection of DVD’s for your perusal. Did I mention we have WIFI? Password will be provided for all guests.
The three bedrooms will cater you with two queen size beds and 1 double bed under a skylight (fall asleep under the stars!) and 1 single bed in the laundryroom. In the livingroom the couch pulls out to a double bed. Tip: If you use the pull out bed in the livingroom, there is a large foam mattress in the laundry room for added comfort. With a three piece washroom on the main floor with shower.
Guest access
The cabin is just over an hour and 10 minute drive from Winnipeg and is the perfect summer retreat. Go straight north on Hwy 59, Turn right on Traverse Bay Road East. The address is 42016 Traverse Bay Road East. Enjoy many of the local restaurants! We also have a local grocery store that is located in Albert Beach, Saffies.
You may also enjoy the air hockey game. There is also a projector with a screen so you could have an outdoor movie night?
Or maybe you would prefer our 3 person hot tub located in the backyard. You can go swimming at the end of the road but I would recommend aqua shoes. It’s a bit rocky but then pure sand once you get out a ways. Bring your floaties!
After having a long soak in the hottub, enjoy a meal on the outdoor patio table that seats 4. Lots of extra resin chairs to accommodate more people.
There is a public beach located a short drive away. At the end of Pitt road is beautiful Albert Beach.
In the evening, turn on a blue breaker and see the wonderful lights in the screen room and down the fence.
Oh did I mention that this cottage is pet friendly? We have ½ acre of a totally fenced in yard. Prop open the screen door and let the dogs go in and out by themselves with a magnetic screen door. Dogs need a break too! The cost is $200 per night, 3 night minimum or $1,000 per week. I require a $500 refundable damage deposit upon booking and the total due before your stay. The refundable damage deposit will be refunded within the first week after checking out. In order to receive your damage deposit back, please leave the cottage the way you found it. For example, if you use towels, please launder them before leaving. (laundry on site). Also, please bring your own blankets. Pillow and sheets will be provided. If you use the blankets, again, please launder them. Also when you leave, take your garbage and recyclables home with you. Also, please no candles allowed. Thank you.
