2024 was a fantastic season for us and we're looking forward to welcoming you back for the 2025 season! Dust off the winter cobwebs and supercharge your season! As of today, registration for the April Cornering101/201 sessions is open! The dates are Friday, April 25th and Saturday, April 26th, 2025. This includes the following:

- Early Bird Double Header - $990.00, a $88.00 savings!! Available until Dec 15th or until the spots sell out, whichever comes first! E-transfer only for this offering! Email us at [email protected] to arrange registration for the Double Header.

- Lower Island Riding Club VIP Cornering101 course, April 25th. Open to LIRC members only.

- Tractionwerks Cornering101 course, April 25th. Open to all.

- Tractionwerks Cornering201 course, April 26th. Open to all.

As signups progress, a second offering will happen for April 26th. Course announcements for July will be forthcoming shortly.

2024 was our most successful season to date. We were sold out very early for the April and July sessions, so please act fast if you want a spot in 2025!!

***Vroom Vroom***
Ever done something that you just can’t stop thinking about and trying to wrap your head around how to do it again?!? I would love to hit the track, on a track bike. The issue- it’s dangerous! And my kids are not at the age yet where there are self sufficient/ independent without their mama bear. As a parent, risk has to be calculated. Between my job and my current passions, I think that risk is at its max. A hobby I will have to put on the back burner for a few years…

2024 Higgy’s 9-Hour Charity Event

When? August 18th, 2024

Where? Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit
*
What is it? Riders will do laps around the motorsport circuit for 9 hours non-stop, raising funds for every lap they complete. The format will be 15 teams, with each team consisting of three riders and one motorcycle to share between them. The 15 teams start accumulating laps at 9AM and ride until 6PM when all teams finish their final lap.

Per Lap Donations? Normally, people make a lump sum donation to a Charity, and we accept those as well! But to add an element of fun to the event, donations are possible (in fact, encouraged) to be made via sponsoring a team on a per lap basis: the more laps the team completes, the more money they raise for the charities.

***Motorcycle Camping***

On Monday a buddy and I took off for the night to Tofino. I wanted to get in a camping trip on the new bike. I equally wanted to see how it felt fully loaded.

We ventured up island taking the back roads to get to Parksville/ Coombs, avoiding the highway for a majority of the trip. We heading west toward Port Alberni and enjoyed an awesome meal next to the water.

We stopped off for a beer to check out a friends house on Sproat Lake. He has a beautiful dock positioned right next to where our Mars bomber lives- A massive piece of equipment when seen up close.

Next we took off out to Tofino. This section of road is stunning with Cathedral Grove and the long winding road with clean cornering.

Upon arrival in Tofino we checked in to Surf Grove. I love this place! You pay a little extra for the sites but so well worth it for the amenities and cleanliness of the establishment. Having stayed there before in one of their tent sites, I opted for a larger, flatter RV site with electricity, water, and a picnic table (and it was closer to the beach) and paved road to the site.

We unpacked and set up camp. What you see in the attached picture is everything I pack in my saddle bags. My top box I reserve for food/ drinks (including my margarita ingredients). Packed in my go bag that I strap to my passenger seat is my clothing (and hair dryer- that’s a must for me).

We ate and drank well and ventured to the beach to capture the sun set. Ps: I don’t do hot dogs/ wieners. I enjoyed a beautiful beef broccoli meal that was delicious!

We capped off the evening sitting next to my toasty propane fire pit. Yes- I found one that fits on my bike that puts off an immense about of heat.

The next morning we packed up and hit Tofician for coffee. Love that place!

The ride back was better than the ride in. Maybe it was morning sun or the crisp air, but it was fantastic! Scooped our buddy from Sproat who joined us for the ride south and stopped in Cheaminus for lunch.

Overall- Great first camping trip of the year!
