Wow what a trip to the Tuna grounds !! Thanks Jerry from Mills Landing Cottages and Charters for taking myself and a couple guests ( Nolan and Robin ) on our first trip out to the Blue water . It started out early but worth it as he had the gear out and fishing by the crack of dawn !! Was a pretty foggy day so didn’t see many other boats but could watch them on radar and AIS. Kept in contact with lots of other guys out there and everyone worked together to stay on the fish . We ended up with 22 Tuna and a very good grade of fish . Saw Dolphins and had a ton of laughs .
I’ve put off going Tuna fishing for years because I’ve already got to many obsessions lol but after that day I’m hooked and already planning on adding a bigger fuel tank to the Lassie for some Tuna fishing next year !!

Thats a wrap on my Bamfield season and what a season it was!!! Next stop Pedder Bay , if you want to get out in Victoria- Sooke area shoot me a message but I’m sleeping for a few days 😆😆.
