Today is the start of 😊 Sea Otters have made a wonderful comeback in the Salish Sea and we encounter them frequently including 'Ollie the Sea Otter" who has been hanging out for a decade. Sea Otters play a vital role as they keep the number of Urchins in check. Urchins are a threat to kelp, the life blood of the Ocean🌊

Happy Monday😊 Here are a few images from our incredible encounter with a dozen (at least) very active Humpbacks on Saturday Sept 21st🐋😍
The Humpbacks included Zillion, Hemlock, Pinnacle and were doing lots of tail lobs, cartwheels, tail slaps, pectoral waves and lunge feeding, including one pair that synchronized their lunge feeding🥰
