I blinked and summer was gone.. I want to thank our wonderful guests for picking Deer Lake for your summer vacation. The season was incredible! It was filled with tons of sunshine, a few good thunderstorms, lots of fishing, kayaking, and late night fire's. We are thankful for your patronage, your stories, and the pictures you have sent us. A few weeks ago I saw an eagle dive into the lake. It couldn't get out I thought it was injured. I watched it swim to the rocks while being divebombed by a flock of red winged blackbirds.. Turned out he/she had caught a pike.. I may have to invest in a stronger lens for my camera!

Trish! Look at this most perfect picture my niece took while we were there! It is breathtaking and makes me so sad how fast our time went. It was absolutely perfect, too!
