Due to the current Railroad strike, all of our SUDBURY VIA RAIL shuttle bookings have now been suspended. The train station will be contacting all booked guests for their refund options.
Please contact the Sudbury Train station for further information on their end.
Agnew Lake Lodge will also be contacting our confirmed Sudbury ONLY Shuttle bookings to make alternative arrangements or also provide refunds to those who wish to cancel.
All other Shuttle drop off locations to Paddle the Spanish River are still accessible and we are accepting bookings.

We have a last minute opening for Cabin #6 for the week of Sat Aug 17th to Sat Aug 24th. This cute old fashion 1 bedroom, sleeps 2 comfortably and has lake front view with immediate dock access. A 50% deposit will be requested at the time of booking to secure your rental. Contact us asap if you are interested.

This has to be one of the most exciting summer’s for us yet! Agnew Lake Lodge was graced with the presence of having FISH TV feature our lodge and all it has to offer on one of their episodes. Any fishing enthusiast know’s Leo Stakos and his history of being an outstanding angler. The first day meeting Leo, his new partner Jason Greentree and his long time camera man and editor Nick Leach was an absolute pleasure. First and foremost they were genuinely happy and enthusiastic to get set up for an early rise, hit the lake and of course they caught some beauty’s👌🏾

That same night I hosted a dinner where they talked with Mitch Turcott who is one of the original owner’s that built the lodge and Nathan Gould and I, the new owners. They got a chance to learn the history of the lodge, the present and our many more endeavours we have planned for the park.
To cook for them was a joy, sharing in laughter, memories and learn of their numerous experiences in the industry. Many of the guests were delighted to have the chance to meet, greet and take pictures with their idols.

I want to Thank Leo, Jason & Nick for giving us the opportunity to showcase what Agnew Lake Lodge has to offer, it means the world to us.

Episode will be aired in the Fall/Winter. I’ll be posting specific dates and times when notified.

We have a change in the entertainment for our Canada Day BBQ on June 30th. The Lodge will be hosting Dani Star and Keith Breit from HOTT BOXX instead of Drive.
Everything else stays the same. So please share the new poster, bring your friends, family, a potluck dish and enjoy some good times with old friends and make some new ones.

Looking for something to do between June 21st to the 28th? We have a solution! We have room for you with 1, 2, & 3 bedroom cabins open. Even Cabin #12, I call the "whole shabang" is open and sleeps a crew of 15 people 🤩
A minimum 3 day stay is required and we're including a free canoe rental with it 👍
Get out on the water, enjoy a scenic paddle and check out Eagle Rock. Or find the delicious spring, grab a cup and sip on some really cool water. Fishing always works too!!

Father's Day is coming up, and you know what that means right??? FREE FISHING WEEKEND!! 🐠 For June 15th and 16th, Canadians won't need a license to fish, but still have to follow the conservation rules. We have some cabins available, or a place for your rv. If you like roughing it, we have tenting spots too. Day fish combos and launching your boat are also recommended 👌 Give us a call or drop a line 😂

Greetings everyone! Our very short Ice Fishing & Sledding Season is now over. We do not recommend any ice travel as Agnew is now opening up. (Lake Photos were last week).

Special Thanks to The Sweeney Brother's Group, Kevin Johnson, Laurentian University Teachers & Students, The Hacheys, The Graves, The Kuepfer Group, our new and returning guests as well. We appreciate your continued support as we keep improving our services! Bookings for our 2024 (Nov/Dec) - 2025 (Jan-Apr) Winter Season are now available. For Winter bookings in 2025 we will be accepting deposits in November.

All furry friends & pets are welcome here at the Lodge. Hunting/Bird dogs are amazing and always do their best!

Happy 2024 and Greetings from Agnew Lake Lodge!
ICE UPDATE:
The Ice depth & pictures were taken from Savage Lake yesterday. (Pictures provided by Nathan)
A little more then 4 plus inches. This means YES! We can fish on Agnew and the back lakes, but we recommend NO motorized vehicles or anything heavy etc. just yet please. Your safety is very important to us!
While we await more snow for sleds, we do welcome fellow fishermen to travel by ATV or other means to these destinations and walk out to fish. Please be safe, be prepared and notify someone of your location at all times.
We can provide directions and guiding for this service. Contact us for more information.

Hello Everyone! It's that time of year again to update you all on how the 2023 season went. The following is our annual newsletter. Agnew Lake Lodge Newsletter 2023:

Seasons greetings to all of our guests. Thank you all for your support and special memories this year. We look forward to providing you with the services you want to make even more memories here at Agnew Lake Lodge.
What an amazing year. We were very lucky the June wildfires did not reach us at the Lodge. They did reach some areas around the Spanish River Provincial Park, and the smoke from that was intense for those with breathing issues. Unfortunately some of our guests had to leave or reschedule their bookings and all of our June Paddle The Spanish River enthusiasts had to cancel their trips. Luckily there were no injuries and no major damage to properties belonging to our neighbors.

Upgrades and fun things we did this year:
A new front face lift and living room adjustment for Cabin #11 and Cabin #4 is currently under renovation (pictures to come on facebook when finished).
The beach area is almost complete, a new deck with lounging chairs and benches for customer enjoyment. We also have an area for pets to access now beside the beach to the left.
Our top of the line water system is now complete, which allows customer to use the water for drinking at their leisure. No more hauling jugs! If repairs need to be done or we have an adverse sample, you will see a notice posted on the main news board in front of the office. The notice will say we are under “boil water” advisory until further notice.
The arrival of the chickens. These beautiful laying hens and roosters in their luxury coop welcome visitors to feed them grass clippings and and vegetable compost. Hands on interaction with the birds can also be arranged for children.
Our yearly potluck style BBQ’s at Canada Day & Labor Day were amazing! Special thanks to everyone who contributed and to the band DRIVE for the evening entertainment for both events. We would also like to thank the Boniakowski Family for sharing their Milestone 25 year Family Reunion with us and we wish you many more family gatherings.

Our hearts go out:
We would like to send our sincerest condolences to the following families that lost a loved one this year; Bame, Sanchioni, Recker, Smith Group and to the ones who passed that we did not know of.
We also have guests that have been coming for many years that we must say a final goodbye to. They are now no longer able to come again, due to medical issues or other reasons. We wish you all the best memories for years to come and our deepest thanks for your patronage over the years to Agnew Lake Lodge.

Coming soon:
We are currently working on our kitchen facility. First step will be take out with an eventual restaurant setting.
Our shuttle services are also expanding to include local tourist spots like Manitoulin Island, Sudbury, Elliot Lake, etc.

Well folk’s it’s that time of year again, hunting season. Northeastern Ontario boast’s some of the premier hunting opportunities in all of North America. Small game, big game are everywhere. Those who partake are privy to some of the healthiest organic table fare on earth. It’s not simply an ethical suggestion that game meats be handled with care & processed correctly, but a legal requirement as well. Here at Agnew Lake Lodge we only host an intimate group of ethical hunters, most that have been patrons for many years. Helping to maintain the balance between wildlife numbers and habitat. In this day & age it is becoming more & more important to harvest our own food in order to sustain our families with healthy options. Even for those who are not hunters, simply basking in the glorious outdoors & witnessing all the incredible animals that roam among us. It is truly special & really nothing quite compares to it.

Wonderful news from Agnew Lake Lodge! As most of you know, our water comes from Lake Agnew. We have installed a new upgraded water filtration system. All of our water tests have been great with no negative results. Our local health unit has made it official, we are no longer under a boil water advisory for guests!
If repairs to the system need to be done, we will post the boil water advisory again and remove when the confirmation of water testing is done. Thank you all for your patience and understanding over the last few years as we put this into place.

Chip the Beaver has some exciting news! The Restricted Fire Zone in effect for the Ontario Fire Region has been lifted as of Tuesday, July 11th at 4pm!
This is great news, but remember these fire safety reminders:
🔥Only use the designated fire pit
🔥Keep your fire less than one metre in height and diameter
🔥Never leave your campfire unattended
🔥Put it out by pouring lots of water on the fire until the ashes don't hiss
🔥Collecting deadwood or bark from the campground is not permitted
🔥Firewood and Kindling are available for sale at our Gatehouse

Canada Day is a day to reflect on what it means to be a Canadian.

Growing up, I never realized how blessed I was that my parents chose to migrate to such a beautiful country. One that has all the tools & opportunities to build the Canadian dream.

Today I had a chance to reflect on all the wonderful old friends & new friends I’ve had a chance to share this experience with, since I got here in 2021.

At Agnew Lake Lodge we take pride in Canada Day. To show our appreciation we are having our annual potluck bbq. I was fortunate enough to have the successful & popular rock band DRIVE perform. Sunday July 2, festivities start at 5pm, band at 6:30pm.
