MS Fridtjof Nansen is the latest addition to Hurtigruten Expedition Cruises' fleet. This custom built ship features Hurtigruten's revolutionary battery hybrid powered propulsion system.
On June 26th 2020, Captain Benny Didriksen and about 160 guests sailed the Norwegian coast on the MS Fridtjof Nansen. It was the first cruise post-pandemic and the results are in -- the mood was positive and people were happy. As expected, there were many changes to the traditional cruise experience, such as allowing 60% capacity on a small ship that holds 500 beds and social distancing throughout.
