We are over the moon to let you know about a budding relationship between and and a new offering of Land Based Learning and Ethnoecology Walking Tours at Callaghan Lake, ‘Love the Land’!

Love the Land is a 90-minute guided walking tour with a cultural focus on how different peoples living in different places relate to the ecosystems around them, and their ways of living as part of the environments they belong to. It is guided by indigenous, non-indigenous and allied staff who have a working relationship with Talasay Tours and are oriented to the objectives and values of this tour. Tours are complimented with a traditional indigenous tea!

In appreciation of this exciting new experience offering, we are inviting folks to join us for the inaugural tour: August 23rd, 10:00 am. Participation fees are By Donation with proceeds going towards specialized Talaysay programming for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community!

The sun snuck out from behind the clouds and the gorgeous little tree frogs, and yes garden snakes greeted us along the paths as the red breasted robin sang her song. Our Talking Treed Tour at Sunshine Coast Botanicals was fantastic. Thank you to our community of 29 guests who joined us. Thank you Sunshine Coast Community Forest for your support and sponsorship of this community event. Thank you to Mary and Sunshine Coast Botanical Gardens for hosting us. We have many more exciting plans in the future including an August schedule of Talking Trees - the Birds and the Bees tours on the 13th, 20th and 27th. We will have a schedule tour Talaysay Tours will be hosting another community hike: Moss, Mycelium and Magnificent Trees on August 5th in Roberts Creek - Stelkaya.
