Be Bear Aware this Summer! Our fuzzy locals are out and about and we want to ensure your safety as well as theirs. Here are some quick tips to sharing space in Whistler with local bears this season...

-Be aware of your surroundings when exploring in nature. -Watch for droppings, and stay on properly marked trails.
-Carry a bear bell with you to let them know you're there.
-Share your location and destination with a loved one.
-Remain calm if you encounter a bear. If they see you speak calmly and firmly and slowly back away. If they don't see you leave the area quietly.
